일러스트레이션에 있어서 非作爲的인 槪念의 形態와 質感의 表現에 관한 硏究

Abstract

어린이들은 조형 활동을 통해 독창성을 발견하고 계발하게 된다. 그러나 이제까지의 조형 교육은 어린이들에게 그림을 통해 창조적인 학습을 할 기회를 부여하지 못하고 있다. 어린이들의 조형 활동은 대부분이 연필류나 붓같은 도구에 의해 행해졌고, 모방이나 사실성이라는 학습 목표아래 어른들과 같은 정화하고 완벽한 형태와 능숙한 언어전달에 의해 평가되어 왔다. 그래서 어린이들은 그들의 새로운 경험이나 이야기를 표현하는 양식에 있어서도 새로운 재료나 기법·질감으로 경험할 수 없었다. 아울러 어린이의 인지발달에 따른 형태와 순박하고 천진스러운 내용 표현도 잃어가고 있다. 이에 본 연구자는 Piaget의 인지발달에 관한 이론을 바탕으로 어린이의 순수한 심상의 세계를 찾아 보고자 하였다. 이제까지의 어린이 일러스트레이션의 세계에서는 어린이의 심리가 소홀히 다루어져 왔다고 생각되어 진다. 왜냐하면 어른들은 어린 시절을 겪었고 그 기억을 갖고 있지만, 사고의 성숙과 환경조건의 변화로 어린이들의 흥미를 이해하는데 제약을 갖고 있기 때문이다. 따라서 본 연구자는 어린이의 인지발달 과정에 대한 지식의 뒷받침 아래, 어린이들만이 가지는 독특한 심상의 세계를 非作爲的인 개념의 형태와 질감으로 표현함으로써 새로운 일러스트레이션 감각을 시도해 보고자 하였다. 이런 표현들의 가능성은 화가 장욱진의 삶과 그의 순수한 '어린 아이적'세계의 표현에서 어린이 일러스트레이션으로 연결될 수 있었고, 그의 작품은 본 연구자에게 감화되었다. 그러나 이런 감화들이 주는 중요성은 가식에서 벗어나 자신에게 솔직하고 담백하며 때로는 자연스럽게 의미를 은유시키는 우리의 언어 습관을 시각적으로 나타내는데 가장 적합하다고 생각되어졌다. 그래서 재료로는 우리의 언어 습관과 연결시킨 향토적이며 문화적인 질감을 표현하기 위해 한지와 마대를 사용하였다. 또한 어린이 일러스트레이션의 표현에서 흔하게 사용되지 않는 재료인 한지와 마대를 사용함으로, 어린이들에게 새로운 재료에 따른 새로운 기법과 질감을 경험시켜, 어린이들의 표현 양식을 조금이나마 넓혀주고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 연구자는 Artist로서 우리 문화에 의해 학습되어진 인성(personality)을 솔직하게 드러내고자 하였으며, 성숙한 인간·성숙한 사회·잘 교육되어진 어른이 가지는 각종의 굴레와 합리와 과학의 굴레들이 창조성을 저해한다는 생각에서 우리나라의 고유한 사상적 특징인 非始原性의 개념을 받아들여 일상성에서 "멋"과 "맛"을 경험시키고자 하였다. 이 연구에서 똑똑해지려는 어린 아이는 물론 더 나아가 '어린 아이적'인 세계를 동경하는 어른에 이르기까지 "편안한 일러스트레이션" "순박한 일러스트fp이션"이 제시되었기 바라며, 계속해서 자신의 한계에 대해 솔직한 Artist가 되고자 노력하겠다.;Children become to find out and develop originality through art activities. Art education until today, however, has not been giving enough chances for the children to do a creative studying through pictures and paintings. Most of the children's art activities have been done with the tools like pencils or brushes, and under the studying object of "imitation or literalism(realism)", children have been evaluated by the adult like-exact and complete forms and skillful communications. Consequently, children, in their style of expressing their new experiences or stories, could not experience them with new materials, methods or new textures. Also the forms from children's cognitive development and simple and naive expressions of the content are losing their shape. Accordingly in this paper, this researcher tried to find out the children's pure world of thought, based on the interrelation-ships between pictures and language of "Piaget's" cognitive development stages. It seems that in the world of children's illustrations which has been predominant until now, children's psychology has been reglected. Because the pictures drawn by adults have been one sided expressions and could not give earnest interests to the children. Accordingly, this researcher made an attempt of new illustration-sentiments, by expressing the unique world of forms, which only children have, with the form and texture of unartificial concept. The possibility of these kinds of expressions could be connected to the children illustration, through the painter Chang Uc-chin's life and through his expressions of pure, childlike world, and this researcher's illustration was greatly influenced by his work. The importance which such influence gives us, however, should escape from hypocricy and should be candid and indifferent to oneself, and from time to time, it was thought to be most adequate to express visually our language habits which naturally mataphorize the meaning. For this purpose, "Hanji(paper of Chosun dynasty) and Madae(chinese yam with rough texture)" were selected as its material, and by using them as its material, I tried to express more efficiently the contents mentioned before, through folkloric and cultural textures. In this study, the researcher, as an artist, tried to frankly reveal the personality which has been studied by our culture, and from the idea that creativity can be impeded by the bridles and rationality which mature adults and society and well educated adults have or that it can also be impeded by the bridles of science, I tried to let them experience the "Mutt ＆ Matt"(see the footnote) in our daily life, through accepting the concept of "Bee-SiWonSung"(meaning that there is no start nor an end). Consequently in this study, from the children who try to become brighter to the adults who yearn for the childlike world, I wish that I could present them with "comfortable, simple and honest illustrations." And I will also try to become an artist who is very candid with the limitedness of his own.
