忠烈王代 政治의 性格

Abstract

The reign periods of King ch ungyol is very important in the political history of the latter Koryo dynasty. Principally the historical study view has been interested in the reign periods of King ch´ungso˘n, on the other side, has been treated, the political history of King ch´ungyo˘l, in neqative point of view. This thesis be intended to investigate into main political achievements and review the entering trace to the Yu ¨ an Empire. By this, in Section Ⅱ, in order to untertand the whole of this thesis, make a comprehensive study of political and economical situation of the latter periods of Wonjong, For, after the event of deposal and enthronement by Imyoun (林衍). Then Koryo dynasty has been awkwardly Situated on the political and economical situation. The Yu ¨ an Empire exploite and intervene in the war of the year Sambeulcho (三別抄). Under this situation, ch ungyol come to the throne. He eliminated from pressure of the Yuan Empire. At the same time, he kept in orther national system and consolidated sovereign power. In Section Ⅲ, we intend to investigate into main political achievements in chronological order. Though that the reform bills which King ch´ungyo˘l has made are to a good basic reformations in the, reign periods of King ch´ungso˘n. Even thongh King ch´ungyo˘l were planing consolidate sovereign power by depend the Yu ¨ an Empire, he would obstruct political intervention and try to keep up tradition and independence of Koryo. In section Ⅳ, divided into following about the entering to the Yu ¨ an Empire. A. the length of King Ch´ungyo˘l visit and to investigate in the whole events. B. to investigate the purpose entering trace and the results. we can take cheerful view that the length of King Ch´ungyo˘l’s visit or the number of member of the suit and compare taxes with an imperial gift. The purpose entering trace, also, as King ch´ungyo˘l make a recommendation to the Yuan Empire, reach a peaceful settlement. It's a very valuable results. Finally, In conclusion, the entering trace to the Yuan Empire, comment on Ch´ungyo˘l’s political special features. That is practical and independent, We know that he faced up to the international situation of those days, and that is the best police and realistic in Koryo.;忠烈王代는 高麗後期 政治史上 매우 중요한 시기이다. 그러나 이제까지의 관심의 촛점은 주로 忠宣王代에 놓여져왔고, 忠烈王代의 政治를 상당히 부정적인 시각에서 보아왔다. 本 論文은 이에 의문을 가지고 忠烈王代의 主要政治行績과 그의 入元行績을 검토함으로써 忠烈王代의 政治性格에 대한 再評價를 시도하려는 것이다. 이에 따라 Ⅱ節에서는 전반적인 이해를 돕기 위해 元宗末期의 政治·經濟的 狀況을 살펴보았다. 당시 高麗는 元宗 10年 林기의 國王廢立事件以後 元의 政治·經濟的 간섭과 수탈, 그에 반발하여 일어난 三別抄의 亂 등으로 정치적으로나 경제적으로 매우 어려운 상황이었다. 따라서 이러한 상황하에서 즉위한 忠烈王은 가능한 한 元의 압력을 배제하면서 국가체제의 정비와 王權强化에 힘써야 했는데, Ⅲ節에서는 忠烈王代의 주요정치행적들을 시기별 추이에 따라 검토하였다. 이를 통하여 忠烈王代에 나타났던 개혁적 조치들은 忠宜王代의 개혁으로 이어져 그 토대가 되었고, 忠烈王이 元의 정치적 간섭을 저지시키고 고려의 자주성과 전통유지를 위해 노력한 흔적이 여러 곳에 나타나 종래의 견해와는 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 Ⅳ節에서는 忠烈王의 入元行績을 A. 滯留期間 및 從行者에 대한 檢討 B. 元行目的과 成果의 檢討 로 나누어 살펴보았다. 이에 의하면 忠烈王의 元行은 滯留期間이나 종행인원수·조공품과 회사품의 비교 등을 통해 볼 때 상당히 긍정적인 방향으로 평가할 수 있었으며, 元行目的도 당시 高麗에서 사실상 절실히 해결되어야 할 문제들이었는데, 이를 元帝에게 건의하여 帝可를 얻어낸 것은 큰 성과인 동시에 높이 평가할 만한 것이었다. 이러한 검토를 통해 결론적으로 入元行績을 중심으로 살펴본 忠烈王代 政治의 性格은 상당히 實利的 自主的이었고, 이는 당시의 국제정세를 생각할 때 高麗가 취할 수 있는 가장 현실적이며 최선의 정책이었던 것으로 파악되었다.
