노년층과 젊은층의 스트레스 지각에 관한 비교연구

Abstract

일상생활에서 일어나는 스트레스에 대한 노년층과 젊은층의 지각에 관한 본 연구는 1980년 5월부터 10월까지 서울시내 2개의 노인대학에 다니는 노년층 70명과 서울시내 2개의 일반직장에 다니는 젊은층 70명을 대상으로 임의로 추출하였다. 연구목적은 노년층과 젊은층이 일상생활에서 지각한 스트레스의 순위와 적응정도에 있어서 유의한 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위한 것이다. 조사도구는 Holmes와 Rahe(1967)의 개인적, 사회적, 가족적, 직업적인 변화의 영역에서 스트레스의 적응정도에 대한 개인의 지각을 사정하기 위해 제작된 Social Read justment Rating Scale (SRRS)를 사전조사로 수정하여 사용하였다. T - Score와 순위상관계수를 이용하여 자료를 분석하였으며 그 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 노년층과 젊은층이 지각한 스트레스의 순위에서 순위상관계수는 R=0.97(P＜0.01)로 유의한 것으로 나타났고 또한 「성문제」, 「은퇴」, 「생활근거지의 변화」, 「자녀의 집을 떠남」, 「근무조건의 악화」는 두 그룹 사이의 순위에서 10이상으로 차이가 있게 나타났다. 2. 노년층과 젊은층이 지각한 스트레스의 적응정도를 볼 때 전 42개 항목중 「자신의 부상 또는 질환」, 「성문제」, 「가족간의 불화」, 「사회생활의 변화」, 「수면습관의 변화」, 「결혼」등의 13개 항목에서 P＜0.5로 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났고 「200만원 이상의 빌림」, 「생활근거지의 변화」, 「자녀의 집을 떠남」, 「법의 사소한 위반」, 「취미생활의 변화」, 「학교의 개강 또는 종강」의 6개 항목은 P＜0.01로 유의한 차이가 있었다.;This study on perception of life chang events by old age peoples, was applied to peoples who was divided into two subjects from May to Oct, 1980. One is old age peoples who is students in two old age schools in Seoul. The other is young age peoples who have two job in Seoul. This study purposed to the identification of mean values and rank of life change events for old age peoples and young age peoples. The instrument was used, is Holmes ＆ Rahe(1967)'s S.R.R.S (Social Readjustment Rating Scale), which is amened, added or omitted through preliminary test, so that it consists of 42 items. The materials was analized by T score and sperman rank corrlation. The result of analysis is as follows; 1. There was significant differences in rank of life change events between old age peoples and young age peoples(R=0.97 P＜0.01). According to each items, there was different rank in「Sex difficulty」「Retirement」「Change in work hours or conditions」「Change in living conditions」「Son or daughter leaving home」 2. There was significant difference in mean value of life change events between old age peoples and young age people. According to each items, there was significant differences in「Personal injury or illness」「sex difficulty」 「Change in number of family get-togethers」「Change in social activities」 「change in sleeping habits」「Marriage」「Mortgage less than 2,000,000 won」「Change in living conditions」「Change in church activities」「Marital reconciliation」「Revision of personal habits」「vacation」「christmas」 : P＜0.05. 「Mortage over 2,000,000 won」「change in residence」「Son or daughter leaving home」「Minor violations of the law」「Change in recreation」「Begin or end school」 : P＜0.01
