Abstract
We, human beings, are living "the ceaseless past" in the time of "present", and present time is the past, if seen from the future, also the future is the past, if seen from the further future, accordingly questions about "the time" have been continous task & issue to the human beings. Seen from this point of view, perceptions about "the time" have been a great concern to the artists. This concern overcame "the expression of momentary time," which the perspective representation of space expression completed at 14C had as its characteristic, thus finally giving birth to the "Cubism as the expression of new time concept". "Cubism" was a modern painting artists' challenge against the "time", for the purpose of putting the time flow on one screen, i.e., it was an attempt to put "past present & future" and "yesterday, today & tomorrow", that is to say, to put "the time flow" on one screen simultaniously. Accordingly, opinions which "Cubism" has about the "time", i.e., the questions about "simultaneity" have been very significant to the works of this researcher. The concept "simultaneity", however, was not an easy concept, which could not be easily & quickly understood to the general public or to children. Especially, to the children whose concept about "time" has not been divided yet, it was a very difficult problem, accordingly in this paper, this research made an illustration of "simultaneity" for the purpose of making this concept (simultaneity) be more easily understood, and first of all, its meaning was observed & considered from the point view of philosophy, art & physics. And also, to see how the concept of "simultaneity" is formed to the mind & knowledge of children, I studied the children's development in time concept. Thus the fairy tales with which children can easily come into contact, among them especially the fairly tales which have been handed down from our ancestors & which contains the history & spirit of our people were selected, and based on the theme of these handed-down fairy tales, I made an attempt of expression method to put the 'past, present & future' of the story, i.e., from the start to the end of the story, on one screen simultaneously. Simultaneous Illustration is considered that it can overcome the limitedness of momentary expression (or illustration) which most of the already-existing illustrations used to have and the children who see this illustration through fairy tales can go beyond the time & space in the story, thus being able to control the past, present & future times on their own and being able to interpret the story on their own. Also, being contrasted with the stories just for reading's purpose, children can see, think and enjoy, and their interests & imagination can be immensely expanded. Conse-quently, I tried to find the meaning of studying "simultaneous lustration", from these perspectives mentioned above.;우리인간은 '現在' 속에서 끊임없는 '過去'를 살고 있으며 現在란 미래의 과거이며 未來 또한 더 던 未來의 과거로, 時間에 대한 認識의 문제는 미술가들에게 중요한 관심이었다.
