어린이의 言語發達에 影響을 미치는 外的變因

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the external variables influencing the child's language development. The variables examined in this study are: the home environment which is stimulating the child's language development; the quality of mother's speech; and child-rearing practices of the mother. This study was conducted to determine if each of these variables had any effects on the child's language development. That is, the following problems were the main concerns; 1. What effects has the home environment on child's language ability, when the home environment stimulate the child's language development? 2. What differences are there in child's language ability, when the qualities of mother's speech are different? 3. Have the different patterns of child-rearing practices effect on the child's language abilities? 4. If these variables affect on the child's language ability, what are the specific factors affecting the child's language ability? For this study, a survey was conducted utilizing the questionnaire and the interview methods. The responses were recorded on the tapes and were analyzed by the preditermined scoring indices. It was found that the child's language ability was extended: 1. When the parent recognized that the language is an important factor of the child's cognitive development and they try to simulate their child's speech in various ways. 2. When the mother used more abstract words, generalized the situation, and communicates clearly with her child using longer sentences. 3. When the parents have a permissive child-rearing practice displaying on accepting attitude and respecting their children's spontaneity. It seems that some limitations are found in this study: The external variables which have an effect on the child's language ability were not considered comprehensively; the child's speech behaviors were not observed in various situations; and the factors in the questionnaire were not particularly specified. In spite of these limitations, the obtained results strongly indicate that the various home variables have a positive effect on the development of the language ability in the preschool age child. Therefore, it is recommended that the study of educational plan for the children with the language deficiency must be conducted.;본 연구는 어린이의 言語發達에 重要한 影響을 미치는 外的 變人을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 이 硏究에서는 이들 外的 變人을 어린이의 言語發達을 刺戟하는 가정환경과 어머니의 言語의 質的 水準, 어머니의 子女養育行動의 세 변인으로 나누어 이들 變人들이 어린이의 言語能力에 미치는 影響을 보고자 하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서 규명해 보고자 한 硏究間題는 다음과 같다. 1. 言語發達을 刺戟하는 家庭環境은 어린이의 言語能力에 어떤 영향을 주는가? 2. 어머니의 言語의 質的水準의 差異는 어린이의 言語能力에 영향을 주는가? 3. 어머니의 子女養育行動의 形態가 어린이의 言語能力에 어떤 영향을 주는가? 4. 이들 변인이 영향을 준다면, 그 細部要因으로 어떠한 것이 크게 影響을 주는가? 이를 위해 본 연구는 質間紙와 面接에 의해 調査되었으며, 反應은 녹음·分析되어졌다. 이 결과 다음과 같은 結論을 얻었다. 1. 言語가 일반적인 認知發達에 重要한 要因이라는 것을 父母가 認識하여 子女에게 多樣한 刺戟을 주려고 노력할 때, 2. 어머니가 보다 추상적인 단어로 事態를 抽象化하고 一般化하며, 보다 긴 文章으로 의사를 명확하게 전달할 때, 3. 부모가 자녀에게 보다 受容的인 態度로, 그들의 自發性을 존중해주고, 자유롭게 행동하도록 하는 許容的인 養育行動을 가질 때 어린이의 言語能力發達이 촉진된다. 본 연구의 制限点으로는 언어능력에 영향을 주는 外的 변인을 포괄적으로 다루지 못한 점과 言語資療가 다양한 사태에서 수집되지 못한 점, 또 질문지에서 要因을 보다 명확하게 구분하지 못했다는 점이다. 그러나 본 연구에서 언어발달에 중요한 시기라고 인정되는 就學前 時期의 가정변인들의 差異가 언어능력에 차이를 가져온다는 점이 밝혀 짐으로써 이들 언어능력에 결함이 있는 어린이들을 위한 敎育計劃이 연구되어야겠다는 필요성을 示唆한 점은 意義가 있다.
