네비게이트 선교회의 교육프로그램의 특성연구

Abstract

본 논문은 네비게이토 선교회의 교육 프로그램과 프로그램을 운영할때 사용되는 훈련교재를 분석함으로써 네비게이토 선교회의 교육프로그램의 특성을 발견하고, 발견한 특성을 바탕으로 한국교회의 '신앙의 생활화'을 위한 훈련 프로그램을 개발하고 점검할때 필요한 기초자료제공과 방향제시를 하기 위한 것이다. 연구방법은 네비게이토 선교회의 훈련자료와 현한국교회의 실정을 파악하기 위한 관련자료를 통한 문헌분석 방법이었다. 교육프로그램을 성장단계에 따라 '기초 양육과정(Basic Follow_up),' '확립과정(Establishing),' '무장과정 (Eguipping)'과 '철저한 개인훈련과정(In- depth Personal Training)'으로 나누어 각 단계별 목적, 내용과 방법을 분석하고 프로그램 운영시 사용되는 훈련영역별 교재들의 훈련단계에 따른 발달정도와 종류를 살펴 봄으로써 교육프로그램의 특성을 목표면, 내용면과 방법면에서 찾아 보았다. 본 연구에서 밝혀진 네비게이토 선교회의 교육프로그램의 특성을 바탕으로 한국교회의 '신앙의 생활화'를 위한 훈련프로그램을 개발하기 위하여 계속 연구하고 검토해 나가야 할 과제를 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 1. 훈련프로그램의 목표가 구체적이어야 하며 행동적용어로 기술되어야 한다. 2. 그 목표에 도달하기 위한 단계별 목표와 실천가능한 구체적인 계획을 갖고 있어야 한다. 3. 프로그램의 전과정이 합리적, 과학적으로 조직되어 중복된 교육을 피해야 한다. 4. 훈련목표가 지식을 전달하는 정도의 목표가 아니라 그 지식이 훈련으로 인하여 실천되고 인격으로 형성되는 것까지를 목표로 해야 한다. 5. 프로그램이 모든 크리스찬에게 절대적으로 필요한 기본적인 내용을 우선적으로 포함해야 하며 성장단계가 높아질수록 융통성(flexibility)이 커진다. 6. 프로그램을 융통성있게 개발하여 프로그램에 사람을 맞추지 않고 학습자의 필요에 기초하여 프로그램이 사람에게 맞추어져야 한다. 7. 프로그램의 내용이 지식위주에서 벗어나 훈련과 인격형성면까지를 포함해야 한다. 8. 지식습득을 목표한 교육을 실시하는 경우에도 신학적(theological)이고 이론적(theoretical)인 접근방법이 아닌 성경적(biblical)이며 실제적(practical)인 접근방법을 사용하는 프로그램이어야 한다. 9. 배운 지식을 생활에 적용하여 이론과 실제가 일치된 생활을 하기까지는 오랜 시간이 걸리므로 단기적인 효과보다 장기적인 목표하에 효과적인 반복교육이 가능하도록 개발되어야 한다. 10. 어떤 가치있는 행동을 처음 시작하여 습관으로 굳어지기 까지에는 여러번의 시행착오와 오랜시간이 필요하므로, 프로그램을 개발할 때에는 적절한 점검과 격려를 받을 수 있는 피이드백 시스템을 고려해야 한다. 11. 프로그램의 순서, 시간계획, 진행속도 등이 실제현장에서 검토되어진, 합리적인 것이어야 하며 개발된 후에도 사용경험에 의해 계속 보완되고 발전되어야 한다. 12. 모든 크리스찬이 기본적으로 배워야 하는 내용에는 어느 크리스찬이라도 자신의 수준과 능력에 맞추어 배울 수 있는 쉽고 체계적인 방법이 개발되어야 한다. 13. 배운 지식을 실천하며 인격으로 형성하기 위한 구체적인 방법과 훈련교재가 개발되어야 한다. 14. 지식전달뿐만 아니라 훈련과 인격형성면까지를 교육시키려면 일요일이외의 시간들도 활용할 수 있고 생활의 장에서도 만날 수 있는 프로그램을 개발해야 한다. 15. 한 사람의 지도자가 많은 사람을 대상으로 하는 강의식, 주입식교육이 아니라 학습자의 자발적인 참여를 일으킬 수 있는 일대일방법이나 소구룹방법을 이용하는 프로그램을 개발해야 한다. 16. 일대일방법이나 소구룹방법을 이용하려면 가르치는 사람이 많이 필요하게 되므로 성장과정과 방법으로써 다른사람을 가르치는 과정이 학습프로그램안에 포함되어야 하며 17. 따라서 프로그램의 내용이 단계별로 단순화되어 전달가능해야 하고 학습도구가 교수도구로도 사용될 수 있어야 한다. 18. 프로그램을 계획하고 운영할때 한 크리스찬을 'chronological age' 로만 파악하지 않고 'spiritual age'로 파악할 수 있는 기준이 필요하다. 19. 프로그램을 기존 주일학교 체제처럼 연령별, 학년별로 개발할 것이 아니라 성장단계별로 개발하여 학습자가 어느 시기에 학습을 시작한다 하더라도 자신의 특성 및 속도에 맞추어 학습할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 20. 일관성있는 개인성장 시스템이 개발되어 중복된 교육을 피해야 한다. 21. 한 사람의 성장을 개인별로 파악할 수 있는 체제를 마련하여 도중 결석이 있더라도 자기 코스를 지속적으로 진행시켜 나갈 수 있어야 한다. 22. 프로그램을 개발할때 적절한 평가 제도도 함께 개발해야 하며 교육목표를 계획할 때에도 평가할 수 있는 방법을 고려해야 한다. 23. 프로그램의 평가기준이 지식의 획득, 기능의 획득정도가 아니라 행동의 변화, 생활의 변화에 기초한 것이라야 한다.;I intend to research the characteristics and value of the Navigators' Educational Program my analizing the Navigators' program and the training materials which are used in practicing it. And based on it, I intend to make basic sources of training program for "Practicing belief" of Korean church through this study. The method of this research is document analysis. I divided the Navigators' program into 4 stages such as 'Basic Follow-up', 'Establishing', 'Equipping', and 'In-depth Personal Training', and analized the purpose, contents and method of each stage. I present as follows a task which must be continually research and investigated to develop training-program of Korean church education for 'Practicing belief' based on the characteristics of Navigators' educational program. 1. The purpose of the Training Program must be specific and be described with behavioral terms. 2. To achieve the goal, we have it at each stage and concrete plan, which is possible to realize. 3. All the courses of the program must be organized reasonably and scientifically, and we avoid repretitious education. 4. The goal of the training should not be only delivering knowledge and the knowledge should be applied and by it, one's character must be well-built. 5. This program primarily should include the basic contents, which is absolutely necessary to every Christian and have much flexibility as the level of growth are higher. 6. In developing program flexibility, they should not adapt people to program, but adapt program to people, based on the needs of people. 7. The contents of program have to deal with the fields of training and character building beyond the tendency aiming at teaching. 8. In case of teaching for the acquisition of knowledge, too, it is the program which does not the doctrinal and theological approach, but the biblical and practical approach method. 9. Because it takes much time to apply the acquired knowledge to life and to lead a harmonized life in theory and practice, the program must be developed into the possible situation of the effective repetitional education under the long-dated purpose, than the shortdated effect. 10. To begin a valuable thing and make it a habit needs much time and many times' trial and error, so we should consider the feed-back system which can get the proper check and encourage in developing the program. 11. The order, time plan and speed of the program must be field-tested and reasonable, and it should continue to be supplemented and developed after practice of it. 12. In the contents which every christian is supposed to know basically, the easy and systemical method which christians at any kind of growth level could practice according to his own level and ability, must be developed. 13. The practical method and needed training textbook or workbook with which we can practice the learned knowledge and build up our characters must be developed. 14. Not only to deliver knowledge but also to train and build up character, we use time besides sundays and meet each other while making a living. 15. We should avoid lecture method and cramming method in teaching by which a instructor teaches mass. Therefore, we should develop 'one-to-one' method and 'small group' which give learners much interest to participate in. 16. To use 'one-to-one' method and 'small group' method, we need many teachers, so, by growth-process and method, learning program should include the process of teaching others. 17. Therefore the program must be simple at each stage to be delivered easily. Learning tool must be used as a teaching one. 18. When we plan and practice program, we need the standard by which we consider a christian not as "chronological age" but as "spiritual age". 19. We should develop program so as that learner can study according to his characteristics and speed whenever he starts learning. So, we avoid developing the program like the existing sunday school system by age and grade. 20. We should develop the consistent personal growth system and avoid repetitious education. 21. We should have the system by which we can grasp indivisual-growth personally, so learner can continue his course in spite of his absence. 22. In developing program we should develop a proper evaluation system, and in planning educational objectives, we should consider evaluation method. 23. The evaluation-standard of program should be based on, not acquisition of knowledge and ability, but change of life and behavior.
