十長生 紋樣에 나타난 素材의 造形的 再構成

Abstract

'가장 民族的인 것이 가장 世界的인 것'이라는 말은 獨創性의 意義에 對한 해석으로 우리 傳統 紋樣의 現代化를 위한 造形 行爲는 실로 意義있는 일이라고 생각된다. 따라서 본 硏究者는 여러가지 傳統的 紋樣. 中에서 가장 韓國的인 紋樣이라고 할 수 있는 十長生 紋樣의 造形性을 現代的으로 변形, 再構成하여 染色 作品으로서의 可能性을 摸索하려는데 그 目的을 두었다. 이러한 目的을 위하여 理論的 背景에서는 전통 문양의 개관 및 그 조형성의 考察과 十長生 紋樣에 나타날 소재의 現代化에 對하여 문헌을 통하여 연구하고 이를 변형하여 15점의 작품을 제작 分析한 結果 다음과 같은 結論과 문제점을 알 수 있었다. 1. 現代 美術이란 時代的인 區分이 아니라 表現 樣式상의 區分으로 그 表現 樣式상의 특징은 表面의 均等, 卽興性, 意味등의 重複이다. 2. @實的 模@란 위대한 예술에는 있을 수 없고 對象의 獨創的 변형만이 예술 작품의 重要한 表現이 될 수 있다. 즉 연구자는 대상의 再現보다 造形的 空間의 設定과 色面 처리한 공간으로 화면을 均等하게 재구성함으로서 神秘롭고 幻想的인 분위기를 演出할 수 있었다. 3. 技法상의 문제점은 염료와 천의 特性으로 染의 限界가 있어 농담 처리상 곤란한 점이 있었다. 뿌리기의 흰점을 남기기에 制作 순서상 어려운 점이 있었으며 이로 인해 修正이 불가능했다. 이와 같은 技法상의 문제를 고려하고 理論과 실제의 一致를 위해 硏究 制作된 본 作品의 조형성에 대하여는 물론 그것의 表現상의 완성을 이루었다고는 생각되지 않는다. 다만 이 論文을 통하여 染色工芸에 있어 十長生 紋樣의 造形的 表現에 자그마한 밑거름이 되면서 나아가 産業 工芸 發展에 있어서도 자그마한 보탬이 될 수 있었으면 한다.;"The most racial is the most universal;" As this saying means significance of creativity, the formative work of our traditional designs can be regarded as meaningful. Therefore the purpose of this research is to search for the Possibility of dyeing works as the designs of "Ten-Long-Life Things" are vanied modernisticly and then reformed. To accomplish this purpose, 15 works of art were made and analized as the modernization of "Ten-Long-Life Things" was studied on the basis of sundry records, and as the outline and formative aspect of our traditional designs were inquired into in theory. The result suggests conclusion and problem as follows. 1. As"Modern Art" is a term according to classification of presentation style, not according to periodic classification. The characteristics of presentation style of Modern Art are 'Equality of Representation', 'Extemporization', and 'Duplication of Meanings', 2. Only creative reformation of the object may be meaningful presentation; Realistic representation can not absolutely exist in great art. That is, I a research worker could produce mistic and fantastic atmosphere by reforming a scene equally with creating formative space and with coloring spare space, not by representing the objective realistically. 3. The problem of technical aspect was that it is difficult to treat light and shade as the traits of dyestuffs and clothes themselves have Limitation of dyeing. To remain spots(=dots) uncolored (=white) was difficult in making orders, which made retouch impossible. Formative aspect of this work, which was studied and made in order to harmonize practice with theory considering such technical problems, may not be estimated perfect in representation, Only I hope this thesis will help the improvement of the formative designs of "Ten-Long-Life Things" in Dyeing arts, and furthermore the improvement of the Industrial Arts.
