dc.description.abstract | Image precision loss is unavoidable in Joint Photographic Experts Group(JPEG) image compression. The main part of the loss is the quantization error which is introduced in the quantization process. In this paper, we start with brief an overview of the JPEG image compression method. Then, we introduce a method to make a quantization table using L_(2) norm of image coefficients and compare it with the standard quantization table in the view of compression ratio and image quality.;Joint Photographic Experts Group(PEG) 영상 압축 복원에서 data의 손실이 발생하는데 그 주된 요인은 DCT계수의 Quantization 과정에서 발생하는 Quantization error에 의한 것이다. 이 논문에서는 JPEG 영상 압축 방법에 대해 전반적인 과정을 살펴보고, 각 Image의 계수로 Quantization table을 만들어 기존의 Quantization과의 compression ratio와 relative error의 상관관계를 살펴보았다. | - |
