S. Prokofiev의 Piano Sonata No.2 Op.14에 대한 연구 분석

Abstract

세르게이 프로코피에프(Sergey Prokofiev 1891∼1953)는 오페라 작곡가일 뿐 아니라 피아니스트로서의 재능 또한 고루 갖춘 20세기 대표적인 현대작곡가이다. 대담한 현대풍의 음악으로 신고전주의적 성향을 보이며 발전되어 온 그의 음악은 이후에 사회주의 리얼리즘을 표현의 중심으로 작곡되었다. 그가 남긴 9개의 피아노소나타 작품들은 고전적인 요소, 혁신적인 요소, 동력적인 요소, 서정적인 요소 그리고 그로테스크한 요소의 5가지 특징을 찾아 볼 수 있다. 3화음 중심의 화성으로 강조한 선율을 주요 소재로 한 기능화성학적인면과 규칙적인 박자와 명확한 종지형태 등에서의 고전적인 요소, 다양한 리듬을 혼용하여 다이네믹한 극적인 대비를 시킨 혁신적이며 동력적인 요소, 선율에 대한 서정적인 요소, 그리고 본질적으로 조성적인 선율에 갑작스런 전위와 배치를 해학으로 풀어내는 그로테스크한 요소로 요약 할 수 있다. 특히 피아노소나타 제 2번 Op. 14는 신고전주의 성향의 음악적 특징들을 잘 보여주는 곡으로서 한 악장으로 된 소나티네에 Scherzo와 두 개의 악장이 첨가되어 확대된 곡으로 모두 4개의 악장으로 되어있으며 제 1 악장은 고전적인 소나타형식을, 제 2악장은 경쾌한 춤곡인 Scherzo의 복합 3부분 형식으로, 선율의 서정성을 강조한 제 3악장에서는 겹두도막 형식으로, 마지막 제 4악장에서는 소나타형식을 취하고 있다. 특히 이 작품은 고전 소나타형식을 바탕으로 하고있지만, 불협화음과 잦은 전조, 복조성(poly- tonality)과 다조성(multi - tonality), 복합박자(poly meter), 당김음(syncopation), 액센트(accent), 오스티나토(ostinato)의 사용 등 혁신적이며 독창적인 새로운 요소를 볼 수 있다. 이 작품을 통해 보여진 그의 음악적 양식에 고전적인 면과 독창적이고 혁신적인 면의 자연스러운 조화는 그가 새로운 20세기 러시아 피아노 음악을 계승하는데 큰 역할을 했음을 알 수 있는 계기가 되었다.;Sergey S. Prokofiev(l891~1953) represents one of modem composers in the 20th century, who has been well known as an opera composer with talents of pianist. His music that was marked by bold modem style and even neoclassic inclinations later focused the expression pathos on social realism. His nine piano sonatas contain five characteristics such as classical, revolutionary, dynamic, lyrical and 'even grotesque aspect. In other words, his sonatas can be outlined as follows: Functional harmonic aspect mainly based on melodies highlighted with 3-chord harmony; Classical aspect as shown in regular beats, formulated cadence, etc.; Revolutionary and dynamic aspects in dramatic contrast with a mix of various rhythms; Lyrical aspect for melodies; and grotesque aspects that abrupt arrangement and rearrangement are unraveled with humor in accordance with fundamentally tonal melodies. In particular, his piano sonata No. 2 Op. 14 well represents musical features with neoclassic tendencies. It is composed of total 4 movements that are subdivided into a sonatina throughout one movement and a Scherzo plus two additional movements. The 1st movement takes a form of classical sonata, the 2nd movement takes a complex three-part form of Scherzo, a lively minuet in pieces with multiple movements, and the 3rd movement takes a form of double two-part system that stresses the lyricism of melodies. Finally, the 4th movement takes a form of sonata. In the musical styles of Prokofiev as shown in his piano sonata No. 2 Op. 14, it is notable that a natural harmony between classical and original or innovative aspects enabled him to play a great role in handing down and digesting the traditions of Russian piano music in the 20th century.
