R.Schumann의「Faschingsschwank aus Wien, Op.26」의 연구

Abstract

낭만주의 음악은 19세기에 나타난 것으로, 고정된 형식과 질서를 이상으로 삼았던 고전주의와는 달리 새로운 표현의 가능성을 모색하여 작곡가의 개인적이고 주관적인 감정이 잘 나타난 음악이다. 따라서 낭만주의 시대에 이러한 특성을 잘 부합시킬 수 있는 장르로서 선호된 것이 성격적 소품(Characteristic piece)이다. 성격적 소품은 표제적인 제목아래 음악 외적인 요소와 결합하여 개인적인 감정을 표현한 음악이다. 슈만(Robert Alexander Schumann, 1810-1856)은 19세기 낭만주의 시대의 대표적인 작곡가로서, 그의 작품에서 문학작품과 연관된 곡을 많이 남겼으며, 표제를 붙여 모음곡 형태를 가진 성격적 소품을 많이 볼 수 있다. 그 중에서도 슈만의 <빈 사육제의 어릿광대 (Faschingsschwank aus Wien), Op.26>는 대표적인 성격적 소품이다. 이 곡은 모두 5곡으로 이루어져 있으며, 슈만은 이를 낭만적 대 소나타(Grande Romantique Sonata)라고도 불렀다. 제 1곡 Allegro는 Rondo형식, 제 2곡 Romanze는 3부형식이다. 제 3곡 Scherzino는 다시 Rondo형식, 제 4곡 Intermezzo는 3부형식이다. 마지막 제 5곡 Finale는 3부분 형식이다. 선율은 주제 동기를 자주 반복하며 동형진행, 모방기법 등으로 발전하고, 클라라 모토(Clara motto)와 프랑스 국가인 라 마르세이즈(La Marseillaise)선율을 사용하기도 하였다. 조성은 잦은 전조가 이루어지며, 화성은 비화성음과 반음계적인 진행, 딸림 7화음, 딸림 9화음이 자주 발견된다. 리듬에서는 붓점 리듬, 당김음, 교차리듬 등 다양한 리듬형태가 나타난다. 본 논문에서는 낭만주의 음악과 슈만의 피아노 작품을 살펴보고, 슈만의 <빈 사육제의 어릿광대 (Faschingsschwank aus Wien), Op.26>의 작품 분석을 통해 슈만의 음악적 특징을 연구하고자 한다.;The Romantic music which emerged in the 19th century expresses personal and subjective emotion to explore new possibilities of expression, unlike its preceding Classical music which pursued some fixed forms and orders. Thus, the popular genre matching such characteristics of the Romantic music was Characteristic piece. This genre expresses personal emotion combined with some elements outside music under a programmatic theme. Robert Alexander Schumann (1810-1856) who represents the Romantic music during the 19th century composed numerous pieces associated with literary works. Many of them are Characteristic pieces of a suite form with themes attached. Schumann's Characteristic pieces may well be represented by "Faschingsschwank aus Wien, Op. 26". This work consists of 5 pieces; its first piece Allegro has the Rondo form, its second piece Romanzo has a three-part form, its third piece Scherzino has the Rondo form again, its fourth piece Intermezzo has a three-part form and its fifth piece Finale has a three-part form. The melody repeats the theme motive, evolving into an sequential progression or imitation progression. And such melodies as Clara motto and the French national anthem "La Marseillaise" are used. The tonality shows frequent modulations, while non-harmonies, chromatic scale progression, seventh and ninth dominants are frequented. In addition, this work uses diverse rhythm forms including dotted rhythm, syncopation and cross rhythm. This study reviewed Romantic music and Schumann's piano works and thereupon, analyzed his "Faschingsschwank aus Wien, Op. 26" to determine the characteristics of his music.
