Francis Poulenc의 Sonata for Oboe and Piano에 대한 연구 분석

Abstract

본 논문은 필자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업 리싸이틀 프로그램 중에서 프란시스 플랑(Francis Poulenc1899.1.7-1963.1.30)의 Sonata for Oboe and Piano를 연구, 분석한 것이다. 분석과 함께 플랑의 생애와 음악의 특징들에 관해서도 살펴보았다. 플랑은 프랑스의 작곡가이자 피아니스트이기도 하였으며 1920년경 프랑스에서 활동하던 젊은 6인의 작곡가 그룹인 6인조^1) (Groupe des Six)의 일원이기도 하였다. 그러나 이들은 러시아 5인조처럼 음악적 견해가 일치하는 그룹은 아니었다. 플랑은 바그너(Richard Wagner 1813-1883)^2)의 낭만주의와 드뷔시(Claude Achille Debus 1862-1918)3)의 인상주의에 반발하였고, 프랑스 고전에의 복귀를 주장하며 신고전적 스타일을 추구하였다. 그의 작품들은 대체로 간단하고 규모가 작은 형식을 취하였고, 세련되고 명쾌하다. 플랑의 Sonata for Oboe and Piano는 그의 말기 작품으로 1962년에 완성되었다. 이곡은 프로코피에프(Sergey Prokofiev 1891-1953)에 대한 추모곡으로 발레조곡 「로미오와 줄리엣」 (Romeo and Juliet)에서 나타난 주제를 사용하였다. 제 1악장은 「ELEGIE」, 제 2악장은 「SCHERZO」, 제 3악장은 「DEPLORATION」으로 느리게-빠르게-느리게의 형식을 취하였다.;This thesis is for completion of masters degree. This thesis is for the completion of masters degree. I have researched and analyzed Francis Poulenc's Sonata for Oboe and Piano for my graduate recital program. And also I investigated Poulenc's life and the characteristics of his music. Poulenc was a composer and pianist. In the 1920's he was a young ambitious asset in France. He was a member of the Group des six which means the group of six young composers. They were very distinctive six individuals with different musical interpretation. Meanwhile Group Russian five, which was also active in the period, was a group of musicians with similar view and interpretation of music. Poulenc repulsed Romanticism of Richard Wagner and Impressionism of Claude Achille Debusiy. He asserted on return of French classic and adopted the neoclassical style. In most of his works, the pattern of simple and small scale can be found. Poulenc's Sonata of Oboe and Piano was one of the main works of his late years and was accomplished in 1962. It has incorporated a theme from the Ballet Suite of Romeo and Juliet that was composed by Sergey Prokofiev. The first movement is elegie, the second Slherzo, and the third deplotation. The pattern of slow - fast - slow can be found in the work.
