『바다』의 분석적 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 이성천 작품 <바다>의 음악적 구조를 분석하고 그 작품에 내재된 선율을 분석함으로서 산조 가야금 12줄보다 2옥타브 + 장3도 넓어진 음역의 음악적 효과를 밝히고자 함을 목적으로 한다. <바다>의 선율 및 구성형식, 리듬, 박자를 고찰하여 악장별로 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째 제 1악장"태양의 눈"은 4/J에서 2/♩로 변박이되며, 속도는 ♩=50∼♩=92이며 '쾌활하게'로 연주한다. 선율은 곡 전체의 주요음인 a-c-e 의 단 3화음적 진행과 d" '- c#" ', d" '- c" '의 2도 음정 화음이 주를 이루며, 구성은 서주부-A-B-A' 로 구성되며 1악장의 서주부가 곡 전체의 서주부 역할을 한다. 둘째 제 2악장 "모래성"은 5/♩박자로 속도는 ♩= 48이며, '앳되고 여물게'표현으로 무 장단으로 연주한다. 선율은 1악장과 같이 a-c-e 의 단 3화음 중심으로 e"- a" '- e" '- c" '와 c'- e" '- a" '- c" '-(d)" '- c" " 형태로 확산 변형되며, 구성은 서주부와 7개의 악절로 구성된다. 셋째 제 3악장 "소라의 노래"는 4/♩박자로 속도는 ♩ = 63∼84이며, '즐겁고 흥겹게'로 연주한다. 선율은 제1악장 중심선율인 a-c-e 의 확대 변형 형태이며, 구성은 A-B 부분으로 구성된다. 넷째 제 4악장 "폭풍의 언덕" 은 4/♩박자로 속도는 ♩ =88∼120으로 전체 악장 중 가장 정점 (climax)을 이룬다. 선율은 g 음을 중심으로 d-c#, d-c 2도 화음이 상성부에 나타나고 g'-a-g 분산화음 음형이 하성부에 나타나며, 구성은 A-B-A'-C-B'-A" 로 구성되며 A부분이 서주부 역할을 한다. 다섯째 제 5악장 "저녁기도"는 4/♩박자로 속도는 ♩ = 60으로 '경건하고 정감있게' 표현으로 무 장단 연주한다. 선율은 1악장의 중심선율인 a-c-e 단3도 화음 진행 중심으로 e"- c- a" '- e" ' 형태로 변형되고, 구성은 A-B-A' 로 구분되고 A 부분이 서주적 역할을 하며 불균형 구조가 나타난다. 여섯째 제6장 "달과 덩쿨의 꿈" 박자는 2/♩. 로 속도는 ♩ = 52 로 '맑고 깨끗하게'로 연주한다. 선율은 c 지속음을 바탕으로 g" '-e" ' 의 장 6도 화음 진행과 c-e-g 장 3화음과 a-c-e 단 3화음의 성격이 함께 나타나며, 구성은 A-B-A'-B' 로 구분되고 A 부분에서 마디1-4 까지 장구반주만 연주되는 것이 특징이며 6악장 전반의 리듬을 이끌어준다. 이 장은 곡 전체의 흐름을 종결 시켜준다. 이 상에서 살펴본 바와 같이 <바다>는 21현 가야금이 갖는 넓고 풍부한 음량을 활용하여 전통적인 5음음계를 토대로 서양음악의 화성적인 요소도 가미하며 다양하게 변화시켜 창작곡의 음악어법을 새로이 발전시킨 작품이라는 것을 알 수 있다. 이러한 1986년 21현 가야금의 출현은 뒤이은 다현금(22, 23, 25현) 의 7음음계의 과도기적인 역할을 했다고 볼 수 있다.;This study is aimed at identify the musical effect of the musical range that is 2 octave and major 3 higher than Gatageum solo 12 strings by analyzing the musical structure of <the sea> and its melodies. The results of examining melody, structure, rhythm and tempo in <the sea> are as follows. First, the first movement, "the eye of the sun" has its tempo change form 4/♩ to 2/♩, and the speed ranges from ♩=50 to ♩=92, and it plays "cheerfully, Melody is mainly composed of a-c-e and d-c#, d-c, and A-B A' in prelude and it plays a role of prelude of the whole piece. Second, the second movement, "the sand castle" has a tempo of 5/♩, with its speed ♩=48, and it plays' cute' with no beat. Like the first movement, melody is mainly composed of a-c-e with its transformation, e-a-e-c and c-e-a-c-(d)-c, and it is comprised of a prelude and 7 passages. Third, the third movement, "the song of a shell" has a tempo of 4/♩ with its speed ♩=63 ∼ 84, and it plays "merrily and cheerfully'. Melody is expanded and transformed version of a-c-e, and it is composed of A-B. Fourth, the fourth movement "a hill of storm" has a tempo of 4/♩ with its speed ♩=88 ∼ 120, and it is a climax of the whole movement. Melody is focused on g note with its harmony d-c# and d-c in the upper vocal part and g-c-g in the lower vocal part. It is compose of A-B-A-C-B-A", and part A plays a role of a prelude. Fifth, the fifth movement "night prayer" has a tempo of 4/♩ with its speed ♩=60, and it plays "solemnly and sentimentally". Melody is focused on a-c-e, and it is transformed to e-c-a-e, and its composition is A-B-A'. Part A plays a role of prelude and unbalanced structure appears. Sixth, the sixth movement "dream of a vine" has a tempo of 2/♩ with its speed ♩=52, and it plays "clean and clear". Melody is based on e note with c-e-g and a-c-e, and its composition is A-B-A-B'. In part A from 1-4 phrased, only Jangu accompaniment appears, which lead the general rhythm of the sixth movement. This movements ends the general flow of the piece. As described above <the sea> uses rich sound of Gayageum with 21 strings. based on traditional 5-tone scale with western harmony added. The advent of this 21-stringed Gayageum in 1986 plays a role of transitional period of multi-stringed Gayageum(22, 23, 25 strings) scales.
