시각 언어와 시적 언어의 만남

Abstract

언어는 소리( 나 기호 표시 )와 의미사이의 약속 체계이다. 언어란 자연언어나 인공언어로 개념을 전달하는 기능면에서는 동일하다. 이러한 언어는 개념 전달에 필요불가결한 존재인 점은 분명하지만 모든 의사 소통이 반드시 뚜렷한 소리(또는 문자)나 기호를 갖춘 언어 체제를 통해서만 이루어지는 것은 아니다. 얼굴 표정이나 몸짓, 손짓을 통해 감정과 의사를 전달하기도 하고, 시각적인 그림을 그려서 표현하기도 하고, 말소리와 관계없는 소리의 높낮이, 선률을 통한 미적 감정의 전달을 할 수도 있다. 이 모든 것은 말에 의존하지 않는 의사 소통 (non- verbal communication)에 속한다. 미술, 음악도 크게 보아 이 범주에 든다고 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 넓은 의미의 언어, 특히 예술작품이 하나의 언어라는 결론에 이르고져 Ⅱ장에서는 예술작품의 세계를 다룸으로써 그것이 유기적 총체의 의미를 갖는 하나의 세계이며, 독자적으로 존재하는 표상이기때문에 하나의 의미를 갖는 언어라고 하였다. 이를 돕기위해 언어와 표현, 의미의 문제가 대두되었고, 이들의 분석을 통하여 위의 결론에 점차 다다르고 있다. Ⅲ장에서는 보다 구체적으로 문자예술과 비문자예술로 문하에 있어서 詩와 비문자예술에 있어서 그림이 어떻게 시적 언어와 시각언어로서 만나지는 지를 보여주고 있다. 시적언어와 미적 지각의 고찰, 그림에 있어서도 의미분석, 시각전달( communication )로서의 기호 ( sign ) 및 상징( symbol ) 그리고 시각적 사고와 Gestalt법칙을 적용함으로써 하나의 언어라는 사실을 입증하고 있다. 더우기 Ⅳ장 작품제작과 분석에 있어서도 시인과 화가의 입장에 서서 연구 주제를 고찰해 보려고 했다. 허무주의를 바탕으로 한 한국의 현대시를 중심으로 그 이미지를 화폭에 담음으로써 작가가 부여한 의미를 가급적 표현하려고 애썼다. 끝으로 결론에서는 시각언어와 시적 언어가 하나의 언어로 만나진다는 사실을 밝히고, 이는 모든 제반 학문과의 밀접한 관계속에서 문학과 미술이 공통된 맥으로써 호흡하고 있다는 사실을 더불어 알게 되었다.;It is generally agreed that language is a combination of sound and meaning, and language, whether it is natural or artificial, has a funciton in conveying conception. And it is also viewed by many that all forms of communication do not work only by distinct soundsor linguistic system, because man can communicate each other with facial expressions, jestrues, and body movements, and can presents something by works of arts, however indispensable the language may be. The thesis is designed for the conclusion that any form of art or works of art are some sort of language in broad senses, and it has been devided into five chapters. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to this thesis, which art the purposes and methods of this research. Chapter 2 deals with the world of art works that contains a meaning of organic wholeness , explaining that works of art is a kind of language which has meanings and is a presentation existing indipendantly. Chapter 3 shows how poems which are written and pictures which are drawn turn into a combined poetic and visual language by applicating various visual thinkings such as signs and symbols which are part of visual communication and Gestalt theory as a way to improve. Chapter 4 discusses the work process and analysis especially from the viewpoint of Poets and artists. I have taken great care, however, to represent the images of poems and Philosophies of poets on canvas, which are unconsciously nihilistic and categorically modern. Final chapter focuses on the meeting between visual language and poetic language and also indicates that literatures and arts exist in the same world as good fellows.
