C.A.Debussy의 Flute, Viola와 Harp를 위한 Sonata No.2의 분석 연구

Abstract

C. A. Debussy가 1915년에 작곡한 Flute, Viola 와 Harp를 위한 Sonata는 Debussy의 실내악 10곡 가운데 대표적인 3개의 Sonata 중 하나로 이곡을 분석 연구 하고자 한다. 많은 예술적 천재들이 흔히 그러하듯이, Debussy에게도 천재의 성격상 부정적인 측면이 상당히 두드러졌다. 그는 자기중심적이며 이기적이고 지극히 냉소적이며, 때로는 잔인하기까지 했다. 이와 같은 그의 성격상 특징은 당연히 그의 대인관계에 영향을 미쳤으며, 더욱이나 교우관계에선 많은 갈등의 원인이 되기도 했다. 특히 이러한 성격은 여성관계에서 강하게 드러났다. 초기에는 바그너의 영향을 많이 받았으나, 점차 자신만의 독특한 음악세계를 추구하게 되었고 많은 독창적인 곡들을 작곡하였다. Flute, Viola와 Harp를 위한 Sonata는 자유롭고 축소된 Sonata로써 주제적, 조성적으로 연계되어 있는 순환주제적 구성으로 되어있다. 악기 구성이 독특하며 장음계, 단음계, Locrian, Phrygian, Dorian등의 선법을 사용하였고, 3화음, 7화음, 9화음, 11화음 선법에서 오는 증감음정과 이 화음들의 연속적인 사용에서 오는 경과화음등의 화성체계와 3도, 5도, 8도의 병진행이 지속적으로 사용되어 근대적인 느낌을 준다. 이 Debussy의 Flute, Viola와 Harp를 위한 Sonata는 고전적, 낭만적 전통을 유지하고 Debussy 음악의 예술성을 가장 잘 나타내고 있으며, 미래지향적인 새로운 음악적 요소를 지니고 있다.;I would like to analyze and research the Sonata for flute, viola and harp composed by C.A. Debussy in 1915, one of the three typical sonatas among 10 chamber music pieces composed by him. As are often the cases with other lots of artistic genius, negative aspects could be found quite conspicuously in Debussy's personality as a genius as well. He was egoistic, selfish, extremely sarcastic and sometimes cruel. Such a personal characteristics naturally influenced his personal relations and further this personality created a lot of causes of troubles among his friends. This personality became particularily conspicuous when it came to female relations. At the early stages, he was considerably influenced by Wagner but gradually came to pursue his own music world and had composed a lot of creative music pieces by himself. The Sonata for flute, viola and harp is unrestricted and abridged sonata form, being composed of circulating thesis closely linked with thesis and composition. Composition of musical instruments is unique and musical techniques involving the major scale, the minor scale, Locrian, Phrygian, Dorian and etc., are employed. The Sonata gives off a modern impression by the fluctuated steps coming from 3rd chord, 7th chord, 9th chord and 11th chord, the harmonic system involving passing chords coming along with successive chords and paralleled performance of 3rd degree, 5th degree and 8th degree continuously being employed. This Sonata for flute, viola and harp have maintained classical and romantic traditions, showing Debussy's artistic sense most excellently, accompanied by future-oriented new musical elements.
