부모 애착, 성역할 정체감, 자존감 및 진로 장벽의 구조모형 검증

Abstract

For the purpose to examine the career barrier of academically talented female students, this study used the structural equation modeling (SEM) to explore the influence and structure of parental attachment, gender roles, self-esteem. Participants were 505 talented female students in Seoul and kungkido. The data were analyzed with Person's correlation and structural equation modeling by AMOS 5.0 program. The results of the study are as follow: 1. There were significant correlations between career barrier, parental attachment, gender roles, self-esteem. Parental attachment, gender roles, and self-esteem were positively related each other. However, career barrier were negatively related to parental attachment, gender roles, and self-esteem. 2. The study of the structural model in parental attachment, gender roles, self-esteem, and career barrier supported the cross sex parental attachment is more powerful influence than homo sex parental attachment. Besides, Among androgyny gender role model and masculinity gender role model on self-esteem, androgyny gender role model accounted for self-esteem better than Masculinity. In conclusion, the attachment to father can positively influence on major variances such as gender roles, self-esteem, and career barrier related career development of talented female students. It was also suggested that both masculinity and feminity were important factors to increase the self-esteem and as a result, elevated self-esteem lowered perception of career barrier.;본 연구는 우수한 여자 청소년들이 지각한 진로 장벽에 대해서 기존 이론들에 근거하여 부모와의 애착, 성역할 정체감, 자기 존중감이 어떤 구조적 관계를 가지고 있는지에 대해 살펴본 연구이다. 진로 발달과 관련하여 남녀 사이에 성차가 있다는 연구 결과들이 많이 보고 되어 오고 있지만, 개인의 심리적 특성차이에 관한 연구들을 살펴보면, 그 차이가 성차에서 온 것이라기보다 성역할 정체감의 차이에서 온 것임에 주목하여 남성성과 여성성이라는 성역할 정체감이 진로장벽을 낮출 수 있는 변인들에 어떻게 영향을 미치고 있는지에 대해 살펴보았다. 따라서 여성의 사회참여와 능력 발휘가 고양되고 있는 시점에서 본 연구의 결과는 우수한 여학생들의 진로 발달을 저해하는 진로 장벽을 낮추기 위해 어떠한 개입과 진로지도를 해주어야 할지에 대해 시사해줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 본 연구가 진행된 절차와 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구의 포본은 초, 중, 고등학교 학업 우수 여학생 총 505명을 대상으로 하였고, 부모에 대학 애착검사, 성역할정체감 검사, 자기 존중감 검사, 청소년 여자용 진로장벽검사 질문지를 실시하였다. 둘째, 학업 우수 여자 청소년들의 진로 장벽에 영향을 주는 변인간의 구조 모형을 검증하였다. 부모와의 애착, 성역할 정체감, 자기 존중감이 진로 장벽에 각각 미치는 영향들을 검증한 기존 연구에 근거하여 연구 모형을 설정하였다. 부모의 애착과 성역할 정체감에 관련하여 동성부모와 애착이 높을수록 동성부모의 특질인 성역할 정체감이 발달된다는 동성 유형화된 이론에 근거하여, 경쟁모형1을 설정하였고, 성역할 정체감이 자기 존중감에 영향을 미칠 때 남성성과 여성성 둘 다 영향을 주는 것이 아니라 남성성만 영향을 준다는 이론에 근거하여 경쟁모형 2를 설정하였다. 그 결과 우수한 여자 청소년에의 남성성과 여성성에 영향을 미치는 것은 어머니에 대한 애착보다는 아버지에 대한 애착이 유의미하게 영향을 끼치고 있었고, 또한 남성성과 여성성 모두가 자기 자존감을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 그래서 궁극적으로 자기 자존감이 높을수록 진로 장벽을 낮게 지각하는 것으로 나타남으로써 연구 모형이 지지되었다. 따라서 본 연구 결과를 토대로 생각해보면, 우수한 여자아이들의 진로 장벽을 낮추는 것은 어머니에 대한 애착보다 아버지에 대한 애착이 중요한 변인임을 시사하고 있다.
