Nicolaus Listenius의 Musica

Abstract

Nicolaus Listenius의 Musica는 Renaissance 후기시대에 통용되던, 음악을 기보하고 노래하는데에 필요한 전반적인 이론을 다룬 책이다. 본 논문은 세 부분으로 구성된다. 첫 부분에서는 Listenius의 Musica를 완역하였으며 두번째 부분에서는 Listenius가 Musica에서 언급하고 있는 여러가지 이론에 대하여 설명하였으며, 세번째 부분에서는 figure와 proportion에 대하여 Musica와 다른 논서들을 비교하였다. 다성 음악에 있어서의 rhythm에 대한 Listenius의 인식, 즉 한 성부에서의 rhythm의 복잡화와 각 성부들 간의 음량대조에 있어서의 단순화는 Renaissance에서 Baroque에 이르기까지의 다성음악의 rhythm 형태 변화의 한 단면을 보여주는 것이다.;The Musica of Nicolaus Listenius is dealt with the music theory in the ate Renaissance period. This thesis consists of three parts : in the first part, the complete translation of Musica by Listenius into Korean ; in the second part, the explanation of general theory in which Musica is mentioned ; and in the third part, the theoretical comparison of rhythmic figures and proportions with other treatises in the period. Listenius characterizes recognition of the rhythm of polyphonic music. Namely, rhythmic proliferation on one part, and metric reduction in individual parts. This demonstrates to us a style of conversion of rhythmic pattern in the Renaissance period and also in the Baroque period.
