사울의 기름 부음 전승에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 사울의 기름 부음 전승(삼상9:1-10:16)이 어떻게 형성되어졌으며 이 전승안에 나타난 왕정 수립에 대한 해석을 알아보는데 목적이 있다. Ⅱ장에서는 기름 부음의 전승이 두개의 이야기, 즉 사울의 군사적 성공의 원인을 설명하는 민담과 사울이 사무엘에게 기름 부음을 받는다는 이야기로 구성되어 있음을 밝히고 이 두개의 이야기 중에서 전자가 원래적 요소이며 후자가 문서적 작업을 통하여 부가된 것이라는 것을 보인다. Ⅲ장에서는 부가된 이야기에 나타난 사울의 모습을 연구함으로써 편집자들이 초대 왕을 어떻게 이해하였는지를 알아 본다. 이들은 사울을 야웨에 의해 선택된 합법적인 지도자로서 나타내고 이스라엘을 블레셋으로부터 구해내야 하는 과제를 지닌 자로 묘사한다. Ⅳ장에서는 사울의 기름 부음 이야기의 편집이 친왕정적 신명기 사가에 의해 이루어졌음을 밝히고 이러한 작업은 사무엘서 전체의 편집 과정에서 반왕정적인 신명기사가의 편집보다 후대에 이루어 졌음을 보인다. 결론에서는 지금까지의 연구의 요약을 통해 이스라엘에서 왕정에 대해 희망이 있을 때에는 초대 왕인 사울의 모습이나 참정 수립이 긍정적으로 그려지지만 그렇지 못할때는 인간 왕권에 대한 비판적인 사고가 생겨나는 동시에 야웨의 율법준수의 중요성이 강조되어짐을 보여준다.;The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate how the tradition on the anointing of Saul has been formed and the interpretations about the establishment of kingship in Israel can be understood in this tradition. Chapter Ⅱ shows that the tradition on the anointing of Saul is composed two separated stories: the one explaing the cause of Saul's military ability and the other telling anointing of Saul. Also shows that among two stories, this is additional and that is original story. Chapter Ⅲ proves that the editors express Saul as a legal ruler and the chosen by Jahweh and they give Saul the task being free Israel from Philistine, especially concentrating on Saul's image appeared in additional story. Chapter Ⅳ shows that the editing work about anointing of Saul was done by the promonarchic deuteronomists and this working was made ealier than the antimonarchic deuteronomists' in the process editing the Samuel Books. In the conclusion, I summarize the whole study and then suggest that when ther is a hope about kingship Saul's image or the establiment of monarchy is described positively and when ther is not, the critical thinking about human kings and at the same time the observance of Jahweh's Law is amphasized.
