Elscholtzia Ciliata(Labiatae) is found in every parts of korea. The entire plant is useful in preventing beri-beri and is recommended in treating abdominal pains, kidney trouble and cholerine. Reported constituents are only essential oils with elscholtzia ketone. In a course of the work on flavonoid constituents, linarin was isolated from the ethylacetate soluble fraction together with apigenin, apigenin-7-glucoside and luteolin-7-glucoside. The structure was characterized by spectral analysis of the glycoside and its aglycone obtained by acid hydrolysis.-
