Johannes Brahms 첼로 소나타 F장조 Op. 99에 관한 분석적 연구

Abstract

독일의 전통적인 양식에 의하여 많은 실내악곡을 남긴 Johannes Brahms(1833~1897)는 낭만주의 시대 속에서 다른 작곡가와는 달리 자신의 독특한 음악 세계를 형성한 작곡가이다. Brahms는 바로크 시대의 대위법과 고전주의 작품에서 영감을 얻어 자신의 음악속에 용해시켰다. 그의 우수성은 보수적이며 고전적인 경향을 새로운 감각에서 추구하여 독자적인 길을 간 것에 있다. 본 논문에서는 Brahms 음악의 특성에 대해 살펴보고 두 개의 첼로 소나타 중에서 1886년에 작곡된 F장조 (Op.99)에 대한 분석을 통하여 낭만주의 시대의 대표적인 첼로 소나타에 대한 가치 인식과 그가 고전주의 형식을 고수하면서도 그 형식 속에 자신의 낭만주의적인 음악어법을 어떻게 융합시켰나를 고찰하였다. 그 결과 이 작품은 4악장으로 이루어진 고전적 의미의 소나타 형식을 사용하고 있고, 각 악장의 화성과 조성면에서는 온음계적 전조보다는 반음계적 진행을 보여준다. 리듬은 부점과 셋잇단음표 리듬이 중요하게 사용되어 있고 특히 헤미올라(Hemiola)리듬은 전악장을 통하여 복잡한 형태와 변화를 보여준다. 이와같이 Brahms의 첼로 소나타는 그의 특징적인 면이 잘 나타난 작품이며 고전주의와 낭만주의를 독특하게 결합시켜 놓은 작품이라 볼 수 있다.;Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) who created prolific chamber music according to the Germanic musical tradition established a unique musical style different from his contemporaries in the Romantic Period. He took his musical inspiration from Baroque counterpoint and the classical works. He also fused those ideas with the romantic musical mode. The greatness of Brahms' music lay in the creation of his unique musical style which became a new mode within the conservative and classical expression. This thesis will discuss Brahms' musical characteristics through an analysis of Brahms' Cello Sonata, F Major(Op. 99, composed in 1886). It will also study the value of the representative cello Sonata in the romantic era and how Brahms formed his romantic musical expression while maintaining the classical form. The F Major Cello Sonata consists of four movements, but has a more advanced form compared with the classical sonata. With regard to harmony and tonality, chromatic progression is more prominent than diatonic modulation. Brahms' rhythm displays a more complicated form and change in his use of Hemiola rhythm through all the movements. Futhermore, the repeated use of dotted figure and triplets is notable. In conclusion it may be stated that this cello sonata is a musical piece which well reflects Brahms' musical characteristics of combining a romantic new expression with the classical form.
