Muzio Clementi의 Piano sonata op. 40, No.3에 관한 연구

Abstract

Muzio Clementi(1752-1832)는 오늘날 우리에게 소나티나(Sonatina)와 『Gradus ad Parnasum』의 작곡자로서 주로 기억되고 있다. 그러나 주목해야 할 것은 L.V.Beethoven(1770-1827)이 Clementi 피아노 소나타를 거의 다 공부했었다는 것이다.1 이것으로 보아 그의 64개의 피아노 소나타는 창조적이고 천부적 재능의 소산이며 음악 양식이나 형식뿐만 아니라 피아노 연주기법적인 면에서도 탁월함을 논할 수 있을 것이다. Clementi의 피아노 음악의 특징은 선율(3도, 6도 병진행 스케일, 주요 동기에서 3도, 6도 음정관계 사용, 빠른 3옥타브 이상의 음계형 음계, unison passage 등), 화성(분산화음 사용, 화음의 연속진행, 알베르터 베이스 사용 등), 리듬(당김음의 효과, 다양한 리듬의 사용 등)의 형태로 구분되어 질 수 있다. 또한 1765년에서 1821년까지 56년간에 걸쳐 작곡한 64곡의 피아노 소나타는 피아노의 성능을 잘 파악하고 최대한의 효과를 살려서 쓴 곡들이다. 본 논문에서는 Clementi의 피아노 음악의 특징이 소나타에 어떻게 응용되었는지 알아보고 op.40, No.3을 각 악장별로 나누어서 형식구조와 주요특징을 연구분석 해보도록 한다. 또한 이를 통하여 고전주의 Clementi의 중요한 위치를 포착해 보려는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다.;This study was undertaken in order to understand the piano characteristics of Muzio Clementi (1752-1832) and analyzing his Piano Sonata in D Major, op. 40, No.3. Clementi was not only devoted to his musical life but also as an excellent musician who loved music and expressed emotions as if he existed only in the music. Clementi's piano characteristics was studied by dividing it into melody, harmony, and rhythm. Clementi's Piano Sonata op. 40, No.3 comprise movements. The first movement is in sonata allegro form with an introduction of Adagio. This is in d minor while the rest of the exposition is in D Major. The development is short. The second movement, which is in compound tri-partite form (A-B-A') is in d minor. The third movement is also in compound tri-partite form (A-B-A') concluding with a coda and is in D Major. It makes use of a canon excellently It seems that the Sonata op.40, No.3 marks a highpoint of his technical development as well as showing his maturity as a musician. This analysis will help pianists understand his piano techniques and sonata works more deeply.
