R. Schumann Violin Sonata No. 2 Op. 121에 관한 분석 연구

Abstract

In this thesis, R. Schumann's Violin Sonata No. 2 op. 121 is studied and analyzed, which is one of my master's degree graduation recital repertoire. Among all the Romantic composers, R. Schumann(1810 ~ 1856) is known as one of the most romantic composer from Germany, who studied classicism by studying J.S.Bach and L.v. Beethoven. Schumann developed and composed his own lyrical and literal music on his classical background. Schumann's Violin Sonata No. 2 Op. 121 was composed in 1851, the same year he composed No. 1 Op. 105. With his experience with No. 1 Op. 105, Schumann composed No. 2 Op, 121 in much bigger scale with more emotion and better balanced relation between two instruments. No.2 Op. 121 was dedicated to the Violinist ferdinand David and for this reason the first theme of the first movement starts with D.A.F.D, which comes from David. The second movement included Scherzo with two Trios in Rondo form. The theme of third movement is borrowed from the choral "Aus tiefen Not Schrei ich zu dir" and the third movement is closely related to the Scherzo in second movement. The fourth movement is in Sonata form with busy 16th notes. Overall, R. Schumann's Violin Sonata No.2 Op.121 is creatively composed with romantic and passionate emotion;본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주 작품들 중에서 R. Schumann의 Violin Sonata No. 2, op. 121을 연구, 분석한 것이다. 낭만주의 음악가 가운데서도 가장 낭만적이라고 알려져 있는 R. Schumann(1810~1856)은 독일의 대표적 작곡가로, J. S. Bach와 L. v. Beethoven의 음악에 관심을 가지고 연구하여 그들의 고전적 형식의 바탕위에 그 자신만의 시적이고 문학적인 특성이 가미된 음악을 작곡하였다. Schumann의 Violin Sonata No. 2. op. 121은 No. 1. op. 105와 같은 해인 1851년에 작곡되었지만, No. 1의 경험을 살려 규모가 더욱 커졌고 정서적인 폭도 한 층 넓어졌으며, 두 악기의 균형도 훨씬 고려된 작품으로 알려져 있다. 이 곡은 당시의 Violinist인 Ferdinand David에게 헌정되었고, 그로 인해 1악장 주제가 David의 철자에서 얻은 D. A. F. D의 네음으로 시작되는 서주가 붙은 Sonata 형식으로 씌여져 있다. 2악장은 두개의 Trio를 가진 Scherzo악장이며 형식적으로 Rondo형식을 보여준다. 3악장은 코랄「Aus tiefen Not schrei ich zu dir」에서 가져온 Idea를 사용한 주제에 의한 변주곡이라는 것이 특징적이고 특히 리듬에 있어서 2악장 Scherzo와 밀접하게 관련되어 있는 악장이며 마지막 4악장은 16분음표의 활발한 움직임을 가지는 Sonata형식으로 되어 있다. 전체적으로 매우 낭만적인 정서를 느낄 수 있는 시적 서정미와 정열적인 감정도 포함된 독창적이고 깊이가 있는 작품이다.
