dc.description.abstractWe study an iterative method for the numerical solution of self-adjoint, non- separable elliptic equations in two dimensions. Although there exist many fast methods to solve separable elliptic problems, it is not easy to develop such a method for nonseparable cases. Therefore, we try to get the solution of nonseparable equation iteratively from the solutions of a sequence of Poisson equations whose solutions could be computed efficiently. A Chebyshev expansion technique has been applied to solve Poisson equations numerically. The numerical example, show that the iterative method converges for variety class of problems.;2차원에서 Self-adjoint하고 nonseparable인 타원 방정식의 수치적 해를 얻기 위한 반복적 방법을 공부한다. 비록 separable한 타원 문제들을 풀기 위한 많은 빠른 방법들이 존재하지만 nonseparable인 경우의 문제를 풀기는 어렵다. 따라서 효율적으로 계산할 수 있는 Poisson 방정식들의 수열의 해로부터 반복적으로 nonseparable한 방정식의 해를 얻는 방법을 시도해 본다. Chebyshev 방법이 Poisson 방정식들을 수치적으로 풀기 위해 사용되었고, 수치적 예에서는 반복적 방법으로 다양한 종류의 문제들이 수렴함을 보인다.-
