졸업 연주회 프로그램을 중심으로한 A. Vivaldi, W.A. Mozart, H. Wolf, C. Debussy, A. Copland의 성악작품에 대한 연구

Abstract

The writer gave a graduate recital on Oct. 8, 1990 for the M.M. degree in voice performance. The thesis aims to investigate the backgrounds and characteristics of the performed songs. A Vivaldi (1678-1741) was the greatest composer of the Italian Boroque period. Vivaldi's sacred music was subject to the operatic influences of his age, and also motets are patently modelled on the opera scena. Vivaldi's Motetto "O Qui Coeli..." consists of four movements, Allegro, Recitativo, Largo, Allegro. Arias from 1. Allegro and 3. Largo are both Da Capo arias. This work of Vivaldi shows the great mercy and love of God. W.A. Mozart (1756-1791) was a representative composer of the classical period. Many of his concert arias were composed in Vienna period. the concert aria K.486a of Mozart show that the melodies, which reflect the meaning of text, are developed through repetitions. The piano part can be found which proceeds according to the melody of the song. H. Wolf (1860-1908), called the most renowned composer of German remantic song, spent most of his life in the composition of Lieder. He completed lots of cycles of songs to poetry of a particular poet like Mo"rike, Einchendorff and Goethe. "Er ist's", "Mausfallen spru"chlein", "Elfenlied" by Mo"rike and "Der Musikant" by Einchendorff amplify the meaning of poetry through a completely intimate relationship between poetry and music. Also, they concentrate the importance of the elements of the music in expressing the meaning of the poetry. C. Debussy (1862-1918) was the most important figure in the realm of "Impressionism". (Ariettes Oublie´es) consists of 6 songs set to poems by Verlaine. In (Ariettes Oublie´es), he uses syncopation, chromaticism and church modes which show a sophisticated impressionistic mood. A. Copland (1900-) is a leading 20th century American composer. He wrote solo songs at various times during his career. Copland completed a major vocal work in 1950. The first set of "Old American songs" contain idiomatic and ingenious accompaniments in his popular style. In these "Old American songs", they represent the most genuine arrengement of indigenous folk material through the composer's knowledge and love of banjo, ballads, folkhymns and ditties, early Negro minstrel melodies, and their manner of performance. I have researched the characteristics and the structure of songs written from the period of Baroque to the early part of the 20th century. The purpose was to assist in understanding them for actual performance.;본 논문은 필자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회 프로그램 곡목에 대한 연구로써 각 작곡가들의 작품배경과 특징에 대해 알아 보았으며 작품의 형식 선율, 화성, 리듬에 중점을 두어 다루었다. 바로크 시대의 중요한 이탈리아 작곡가인 Antonio Vivaldi(1678~1741)의 Motetto 「O Qui Coeli‥‥‥」는 Allegro, Recitativo, Largo, Allegro의 4악장으로 구성 되어있다. 도약과 순차진행이 적절히 섞인 선율과 리듬의 반복이 많이 사용되며 신의 커다란 은총과 사랑이 가사내용에 잘 나타나고 있다. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart(1756∼1791)는 고전과 양식을 확립시킨 대표적 작곡가이다. 그의 Concert Aria K 486a는 Recitativo와 Aria로 구성된 총 115마디의 곡으로 개인의 감정이 가사의 친밀함과 형식의 높은 수준으로 완숙하게 조화된 곡이다. 19세기 독일가곡의 중요한 작곡가인 Hugo Philipp Jakob Wolf(1860~1903)의 가곡 "Er ist 's" "Mausfallen spru¨chlein" "Der Musikant" "Elfenlied"에 시의 내용과 음악사이의 긴밀한 관계를 섬세한 선율과 감정으로 표현하고 있다. Claude Debussy(1862∼1918)는 프랑스인의 기질을 독특한 어법으로 표현한 인상주의 음악의 창시자이다. 본 논문에서는 Ariettes Oublie＇es"를 연구하였다. 이 작품에서 인상주의적 색채를 느낄수 있으며 5음계나 교회선법등이 사용되어 조성감이 혼란 스럽다. Aaron Copland(1900~)는 20세기 미국 작곡가이다. 그의 작품 「Old American Songs」의 5곡은 민속적 풍토성을 강조하고, 진지하고 간결하게 표현하고 있다. 5작곡자들의 작품에서 살펴본거와 같이 다양한 언어에 의한 레파토리를 통하여 각곡들이 갖는 특징을 살펴 보았으며 이 곡들의 연주시 도움이 되고자 하였다.
