J. S. Bach-F. Busoni, L. V. Beethoven, S. Rachmaninoff, A. Copland의 Piano Variations 연구

Abstract

This thesis is studied of history, background, and characteristic of variations- J.S. Bach-F. Busoni's Chaconne in D minor, L.V. Beethoven's Variations Op. 35, S. Rachmaninoff's Variations Op. 43, A. Copland's Variations-for correctly understand, which are played in Recital (20th, September, 1988) for graduate. Bach-Busoni's chaconne is arranged Bach's violin partita Ⅱ 5th movement for the piano, by Busoni. It is composed of theme, 32 variations, coda, and has a noticeable contrapuntal structure. Beethoven's Variations Op. 35 is composed of introduction, theme, 15 variations, and Fuga. It is very difference from variations of contemporary works in structure and developing method. Rachmaninoff's Variations Op. 43 is composed of theme, 20 variations, and Coda. It is characterized by lyrical melody, clear structure. Copland's Variations is composed of theme, 20 variations, and Coda. It is made of 20 century's technique, which is out of the traditional variation style.;본 논문은 필자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회 (1988년 9월 20일)의 연주곡목인 J. S. Bach-F. Busoni의 Chaconne in D minor, L. V. Beethoven의 Variations Op. 35, S. Rachmaninoff 의 Variations Op. 43, A. Copland의 Variations에 대한 이해를 돕기 위해, Variation의 역사와 각 곡의 배경, 특징에 대해 연구한 것이다. Bach-Busoni의 Chaconne는 Bach의 Violin Partita 2번 5악장 Chaconne를 Busoni가 피아노곡으로 편곡한 것으로 주제와 32개의 변주, 그리고 Coda로 구성되어 있으며, 뛰어난 대위법 구조로 짜여있다. Beethoven의 Variations Op. 35는 서주, 주제, 15개의 변주, 그리고 Fuga로 구성되어 있으며, 그 시대의 변주곡 작품들과는 달리 구조나 전개방법에 있어서 새로운 방법으로 작곡된 곡이다. Rachmaninoff의 Variations Op. 43은 주제, 20개의 변주, 그리고 Coda로 구성되어 있으며, 서정적인 선율, 투명한 구조, 풍부한 색채감이 특징적이다. Copland의 Variation은 주제, 20개의 변주, 그리고 Coda로 구성되어 있으며 전통적인 Variation형식에서 탈피하여 20C적 음악기법에 의해 작곡된 곡이다.
