복식디자인의 이원론적 접근에 관한 연구

Abstract

인간이 존재하면서부터 사상과 사고는 끊임없이 나타났다 소멸한다. 듀얼리즘(Dualism)은 서양철학의 뿌리 깊은 전통으로 대상 고찰에 있어서 서로 대립하고 있는 2개의 원리로부터 전체를 설명하려는 입장이다. 조형 예술 쟝르인 복식은 시대정신과 인간정신의 표현이 전제되어 있으므로 감정과 심상을 전달하고 사회적 영감과 욕구를 반영한다는 점에서 볼때, 복식에 있어서 듀얼리즘의 영향도 예외는 아니다. 따라서 그 연구의 필요성이 날로 증대되고 있으며 철학, 문학, 종교, 미술, 건축 등의 이원론(Dualism)에 대한 연구한 자료는 있으나 복식의 이원론(Dualism)에 대한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 현대 복식에 나타나는 듀얼리즘의 이론적 배경을 토대로 그 의미를 재해석하여 개성을 살리면서 실용성을 겸비한 현대 복식을 표현하고자 한다. 연구 과정별로 요약하면 다음과 같다. 제1장에서는 연구목적과 방법을 체계화 하였고, 연구 내용을 한정하였다. 제2장에서는 본 연구의 이론적 배경으로 철학, 종교, 문학, 미술, 건축, 디자인에 있어서 듀얼리즘을 살펴보았다. 제3장에서는 이원론적 복식의 개념, 발생배경, 발생요인을 분석하고 이원론적 복식의 유형상 분류를 하였다. 제4장에서는 본 연구의 이론적 배경을 토대로 이원론적 복식의 작품 제작을 하였다. 제5장에서는 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결론을 서술하였다. 이원론적 복식의 표현을 세분한 결과 남성적 형태와 여성적 형태의 공존, 속옷 형태와 겉옷 형태의 공존, 이질감 나는 소재의 공존, 동양양식과 서양양식의 공존, 과거와 미래의 공존, 고급양식과 저급양식의 공존으로 나눌 수 있다. 위의 분석한 것을 디자인 컨셉으로 하여 작품에 표현한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 듀얼리즘을 응용한 복식의 표현 방법은 기존의 상식을 뛰어넘는 새로운 디자인 접근 방법이 되었고 이를 통해 창조적이면서 실질적 복식 디자인의 가능성을 제시할 수 있었다. 2. 남성적이미지와 여성적이미지의 공존의 경우 여성은 남성이 되고자 하는 내면이, 남성은 여성이 되고자 하는 내면이 있다는 가정하에 남성복식의 아이템인 넥타이를 이용해 여성미와 남성미의 공존을 표현할 수 있었다. 3. 속옷의 형태와 겉옷의 형태가 공존하는 복식 디자인 과정을 통해 고정관념을 깨는 창조적 마인드를 배양할 수 있었다. 4. 동양양식, 서양양식 복식의 공존은 복식의 실루엣의 면에서 동양의 차이니스 실루엣과 서양의 버슬 실루엣을 결합하여 일상적 평범함에서 벗어나서 이질적 요소의 결합이라는 새로운 디자인 발상을 가능케 하였다. 5. 이질적 소재의 공존은 현대 복식에 많이 나타나는 요소로 개성적이며 창의적 디자인을 할 수 있었다.;Since mankind came into being, a lot of ideas and thoughts continuously have entered onto the stage and disappeared. Dualism, which is part of the deep-rooted tradition in western philosophy, has withstood the test of time to explain the whole with two opposed theories. For example, fashion, which is a part of the formative arts and represented emotion and image reflecting social inspiration and desire. Fashion in not exempt from the influence of dualism. Therefore, the necessity for the study of dualism in fashions gradually increasing. As a matter of fact the dualism in fashion has been paid less attention to than the dualism in philosophy. literature, religion, art and architecture. The purpose of this study is to reconstitute the meaning of dualism in fashion on the basis of dualism appears in modem fashion, which is original and at the same time practical. The abstract, as the culmination of much study is as follows : In the first chapter I started the purpose of this paper and systemized the method of study to narrow the scope and to limit the content. In the second chapter as the theoretical background of this study I examined the dualism in philosophy, literature, religion, art and architecture. In the third chapter I analyzed the concept, background and primary factors of the types of dualism in philosophy, literature, religion, art and architecture. In the fourth chapter, for the theoretical basis of this study I created works of fashion in dualism. And the last chapter contains the results of this study and the conclusion. Expression of dualism in fashion can be subdivided into: 1)the coexistence of the masculine image and the feminine image, 2)the oriental and the western, 3)the past and the future, 4)the high class and the low class and 5)the coexistence of heterogeneous material. The resultant works use this analysis (the concept of the 5 subdivisions) ass the basis for their design as follows : 1. The way of expressing fashion, adopting dualism, became a whole new method of approaching the epoch-making designs. 2. In the case of the coexistence of the masculine and the feminine image in fashion, it was assumed that the both sexes have the inner tendency toward becoming one another, I could express the coexistence of masculine one another, I could express the coexistence of masculine and feminine by using a necktie which is a masculine item. 3. In the procession of design which adopts the coexistence of both under and outer wear I could have a certain amount of freedom of creativity 4. In the coexistence of the oriental and western fashion. the combination of the chinese silhouette which is oriental and the bustle silhouette of the western made it possible to create a new design of extraordinary combination of heterogeneous factors. 5. The coexistence of heterogeneous materials, which frequently appears in modern fashion, made the design original and creative.
