鄭芝溶 詩의 想像力 硏究

Abstract

세계의 존재양상은 시간과 공간, 물질의 구조로 이루어져 있으며 문학은 이러한 총체적인 정신행위의 한 반영으로 나타난다. 이 존재의 구조 속에서 시인의 상상력은 수평적 차원과 수직적 차원의 양식으로 전개되며 한 시인의 작품에서 특성으로 파악될 수 있는 개별적인 구조원리를 형성하게 한다. 본 논문은 鄭芝溶 詩의 전체적인 상상력의 구조를 이해하기 위해 시간·공간의식과 물질 상상력을 중심으로 이루어지는 시세계의 변모과정을 정신적이고 상상적인 '여행의 구조'를 통해 살펴 보았다. 이 연구에서 '여행'의 의미는 언어로 구현된 시적 자아의 정신적 탐구와 작품의 총체적인 상상력의 전개 과정이며, 창조적인 시적 자아가 추구하는 세계와 본질적인 동일성에의 보편적·초월적 상징을 나타낸다. 또한 과거(미래)와 현재, 안과 밖, 위와 아래의 대립체계 속에서 긴장력을 가지고 조화와 균형, 화해의 질서 의미를 부여해주는 하나의 '틀'로써 논지의 출발점이 된다. 이러한 배경을 토대로 Ⅱ장. 시간의식의 지향성에서는, 불안과 객관적 시간을 거부하려는 현실적 시간의식과 그 극복의지의 양상을 살펴 보았다. 그의 시간의식의 지향성은 현재를 중심으로 과거를 연속시키고자 하며, 그것은 幼年에로의 '鄕愁'를 통해 持績의 의지를 투영시키고 있다. 한편 이러한 지속의지는 非可視的이고 線的인 시간의 특성에 可視的인 延長性이라는 공간적 특성을 부여해 순환의 無時間性과 현재시제나 시제의 생략, 그리고 의인화의 서술 양식으로 시간을 공간화시키고 있다. 이를 통해 본 그의 시간의식과 지향성은 미래보다는 과거적 특성이, 시간의식보다는 공간의식이 두드러지고 있음을 파악할 수 있었다. Ⅲ장에서는 '홀로'와 '나그네'의 현실인식에서 출발하고 있는 공간의식을 살펴 보았다. 내부공간의 내밀성과 庇護性이 지나치게 강화되어 '窒息한 靈魂' <思惠>이 될 때 시적 자아는 외부공간으로 나아가려는 '여행'의 動態的 구조를 형성하게 된다. 그 극단에는 죽음을 통한 永遠세계로의 飛翔과 擴散을 含意하고 있다. 수평적 탈출과 함께 수직적 초월의 공간을 지향하려는 공간적 특성은 방→도시(마을)→바다→山→공간의 해체로 그 확대를 보여준다. 즉, 좁은 공간에서 넓은 공간으로, 폐쇄 공간에서 개방공간으로, 下方공간에서 上方공간으로 확산해 가려는 지향성을 보이고 있다. 이 과정에서 그의 물질적 상상력은 氣化의 감각 현상과 '달아나는 속도감', '않고'의 不動세계를 거쳐, '돈다'로 해체화되는 상상력의 질서를 형성한다. Ⅳ장에서는 앞 장에서 살펴 본 시간, 공간, 물질의 상상력을 종합하여, 이러한 총체적 구조를 토대로 <진달래>를 분석해 봄으로써 지용 시의 상상력의 특성을 살펴 보았다. 이상에서와 같이 전체시를 통해 파악해 본 '여행의 구조'는 시적 자아가 대상의 본질적인 내면을 찾아 끊임없이 자기확대되는 세계와의 동일성을 향한 지용 시의 상상력의 특성임을 파악할 수 있었다.;The aspect of being in this world consists of time, space and materials and the literature appears as a reflection of the whole mental behaviors on this aspect. Among the structure of being, the imagination of a poet develops into a form with a horizontal dimension or a vertical dimension, and forms an individual principle of composition that shall be defined as the characteristic of a poet's work. In this study the changing process of poetry based on the consciousness on time, space and materialized imagination has been investigated through spiritual and imaginative "Structure of a journey" to understand the whole structure of the imagination in the poetry of Jung Ji Yong. The meaning of "a journey"in this study represents the spritual search for a poetical self realized with language, and the developmental course of the whole imagination in a work. Furthermore, it indicates the universal, transcendent symbol which has potential applicability to the world pursued by a creative poetical self . And the "journey" consists the starting point of an argumentas a kind of "archetype" that grants with an intense power such significances as harmony, balance and order of reconciliation upon the opposing structures of the past (future) and present,the inside and outside and the above and below. Based on such background, in chapter 2 . "The directionality of the time consciousness", I have investigated the modes of the poet ' s realistic time consciousness which rejects insecurity and objective time and his willingness to overcome them. As for the directionality of the tim e consciousness, his time consciousness is continued from the present to the childhood. Furthermore, his time consciousness transcents continious willingness reflection to the childhood. Meanwhile, such willingness to maintain grants spatial characteristic like visual extensibility on the invisual and linear characteristic , and then brings the obmission of present tense or even tense itself and the spacification of time through personification. Therefore, it is revealed that the dominant characteristic in his directionality to time consciousness is realized to the past rather than the future and to space rather than time. In chapter 3, I have inspected poet's spatial consciousness started from his recognition of "lonely" and "a traveller' The poetical self forms vital structure of "a journey" to advance toward the outside space when it becomes "a smothered spirit" by the excessive density and protectiveness of the inside space. At the extremes, the poet agrees with a vision and extension through death to the eternal world. The spatial nature of the poetical self toward a vertical space of transcendence and horizontal escape shows the extension through transfer from a room to a city (a village), from a city to a sea, from a sea to a moutain, and again from a moutain to a disjoint of space. that is, poet's consciousness has shown the directionality to an extension by moving from narrow spaceto broad space, from closed space to open spance. In this process, his material imagination forms the order of the destroyed imagination power, through the motionless world with vapor vaporized sensitivity phenomenon, " escaping speed" and " doing nothing". In chapter 4 , I have synthesized the above inspected imagination of the time space and material, and then examined the characteristics of imagination in the poetry of Jung Ji Yong's by analysizing "The Azalea" based on the whole structures. The conclusion of this study is that "The structure of a journey" represents the characteristics of imagination of Jung Ji Yong's poetry in which the poetical self searches for the essential inside of a object and identification of the continuous self-expanding world.
