Paul Hindemith의 Sonata fu¨r Flo¨te und Klavier(1936)에 대한 연구분석

Abstract

Paul Hindemith (1895-1963) was variously active as a composer, performer, conductor, theorist and educator. He was a prolific composer during the twentieth century. He used both modern and classical styles which is based on tonality. The purpose of this study is to understand the composer's aim regarding this work, and to carry out on objective and academic performance through research and analysis. This Sonata consists of three movements. Counterpoint is used for the establishment and development of the theme. The tonality appears by changing modes, chromatic, and wholetone scale progressions. The characteristics of this sonata are dotted notes, syncopation, repeated rhythms. In order to understand this work first a study was made for his life, the characteristics, style, harmony, melodic progression, form and texture. The analysis of this Sonata was made from both formal and harmonic aspects, and revealed a work which was devised to show the mind of the composer easily to the audience by means of the peformer.;Paul Hindemith(1895-1963)는 20세기 전반에 활동했던 작곡가로 후기낭만 주의에 대한 반작용으로 전통적 어법을 현대적으로 변화시키는 신고전주의 양식을 확립했으며, 또한 작곡가와 청중사이의 의사소통의 어려움을 해결하기 위해, 일반적으로 쉽게 사용할 수 있는 실용음악을 많이 작곡했다. 본 논문은 Paul Hindemith가 작곡한 실용음악의 하나인 Sonata fu‥r flo′te und Klavier(1936년)를 연구, 분석한 것으로 요약하면 다음과 같다. 이 작품은 3악장으로 구성되어 있다. 1악장은 2개의 주제를 갖는 Sonata 형식으로 시작하며 그의 다른 작품들과는 달리 주제가 신선하고, 대위법의 단순함으로 선율소재는 간결하다. 2악장은 리듬의 박진감은 없지만 운율적으로 노래하는 듯한 선율이다. 3악장은 6/8박자의 Scherzo와 "Coda"부분인 2/2박자외 Marsch로 되어있다. 매우 경쾌한 리듬과 끝없이 발전하는 진행에 돋보인다. 이 Sonata는 그가 작곡한 관악기들을 위한 Sonata들 중에서도 특히 간결하고 감동적이고 생동감있으며, 현대의 Flute 주자를 위한 대표적인 레퍼토리중 하나로 꼽힌다.
