龍江洞土俑에 나타난 服飾硏究

Abstract

慶州市 龍江洞 1130소재 廢古墳에서 1986年 7月 우리나라 古墳 發掘사상 최초로 加彩된 土俑과 土制馬, 靑銅 12支像이 出土되었다. 人物土俑은 모두 28點으로 男人像 15點과 女人像 13點으로 분류되는데, 12∼22㎝ 정도 크기이며, 붉은색 계통으로 加彩되어 있었다. 이들 龍江洞土俑의 특색은 이제까지 新羅地域에서 出土된 土偶들과는 달리 當時 人物들의 얼굴모습과 자세, 服飾 등이 사실적으로 표현되어 있어, 新羅時代 服飾을 밝혀주는 귀중한 資料로 평가되었다. 本 硏究는 人物土俑 28點 中 직접 本人이 資料로 접할 수 있었던 男人像 3點과 女人像 13點을 대상으로 하여 新羅時代의 興德王 服飾 制度와, 당시 新羅와 밀접한 교류관계에 있었던 中國·日本의 服飾制度등과 비교하여 이들 土俑服飾의 樣式的 特徵 및 제작연대에 관해서 考察해 보았는데, 그 결과 다음과 같은 結論을 얻었다. 男·女人像의 服飾 모두 唐의 服飾 影響을 많이 받고 있었으며, 日本의 奈良朝 服飾과 유사한 형태를 나타내고 있었다. 男·女別로 착용한 服飾을 살펴보면, 男人像의 경우 唐代의 常服인 복두와 盤領袍를 착용하고 있었는데, 唐과 日本에서 文·武人의 구별이 되는 縫掖袍와 缺掖袍의 형태가 모두 나타나 있었다. 女人像의 경우에 머리 형태는 13點 모두가 비슷한 모습이었는데, 球形으로 계를 맺고 있는 형태로 생각되나, 확실치는 않으며 唐制와 같이 衣위에 裳을 착용하고 裳위에 帶를 매어 길게 늘여뜨리고 있었다. 또한 興德王 服飾制度에 나오는 표의 형태도 확인할 수 있었다. 服飾의 形態狀으로 볼 때, 男·女服 모두 唐 初期形式인 窄□形이 아니라 盛唐頃의 寬闊한 형태였는데 특히 女人像의 경우 唐朝의 高樓 村墓(748)出土 女俑의 服飾形狀이나 奈良朝의 吉祥天女像(772년 추정), 鳥毛立女像(752年 추정) 의 服飾과 유사한 형태로 나타나 있어 이들 3국간의 교류관계도 확인할 수 있었다. 그러므로 龍江洞土俑服飾의 樣式的 特徵만으로 볼 때 아직 밝혀지지 않은 이 古墳의 土俑服飾의 제작연대는 신중을 기해야 하므로, 730년 이후에서 780年頃사이 樣式으로 생각되므로 이 時期에 만들어졌을 것으로 추정된다. 또한 被葬者의 신분에 대해서는 墓誌石이나 記錄이 없어 단정지을 수는 없으나 12支像의 出土, 護石의 存在 등으로 보아 王族級 이상의 고위 신분자였을 것이라 생각된다. 그러나 아직 古墳의 다른 出土遺物이나, 古墳樣式에 대한 깊이있는 硏究가 이루어지지 않은 상태이고,本 硏究도 전체 人物土俑 28點 中 一部만의 服飾을 살펴본 것에 지나지 않으므로 앞으로 더욱 깊이있는 硏究가 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.;In July 1986, colored clay figures, clay horses and the twelve branch statues in bronze (12支像) were excavated from an old tomb at 1130, Yonggang-dong, Kyoungju. Clay figures are consisted of 15 man's statues and 13 woman's statues. Their heights are about 12-22 cm and they ate colored with reddish material. These clay figures are estimated as ail important material to study the costume of Shilla period, because they realistically represent man's features and postures, and the costume of those days. The purpose of this thesis is to study formal characteristics of the costume in clay figures and to investigate to he costume system of Unified Shilla period, especially that of King Heungduk(興德王)age, as compared with those of China and Japan. The subject of study are 3 man's statues and 13 woman's statues. Both man's statues and woman's statues are influenced by the costume of T'ang period in China and show the similar costume of Nara period in Japan. Man's statues were Bokdu(복두) and Banryungpo(盤領袍) which are ordinary clothes of T'ang period. Forms of Bongaekpo(縫掖袍) and Kyeolaekpo(缺掖袍), which discriminate between warrior and literary man in China and Japan, are presented in man's statues. Thirteen woman's statues are much alike in hair style. It is considered to make spherical gei(고계) as a hair style. Woman's statues were skirt over Eui(衣), fasten a sash over Eui(衣) and hang down it like the costume of T'ang period. And the form of Pyo(표), which is a kind of costume in the age of King Heungduk(興德王), is appeared in those statues. Both man's dresses and woman's dresses are not tight style of early T'ang period, but loose style of the prosperous age of T'ang period. Especially woman's dresses are similar to the costume of woman's statues which are excavated from Koruchon tomb(高樓村墓) of T'ang period and the costumes of Kilsangcheon yeo statue (吉祥天女像: about 772) and Jomolipnyeo statue(鳥毛立女象: about 752) of Nara period(奈良朝). This fact means that there is cultural interchange among three countries. Because the age of Yonggang-dong tomb is not confirmed, the costume of clay figures is presumed as that of 730-780 A.D. And the social status of buried man is not confirmed because there are not a tombstone or a record about him. But the twelve branch statues and the guardstone can confirm the status of buried man as a member of royal family or high class. It is hoped to study more about another relics excavated from that tomb and to investigate the costume system.
