Claude Achille Debussy의 가곡에 대한 연구

Abstract

Claude Achille Debussy (1862-1918), a leading composer of Impressionistic music, is appreciated as a remarkable composer of the history of French art songs. Having made a fusion of poetry and music by the stimulus of German Lied since Gabriel Faure^(´) (1845-1924), French art songs developed in another- direction and improved in Debussy's time. This thesis studies the literature about and the scores of Debussy's art songs, and analyzes his authentic style with songs of each period of his life from among his 60 songs. First, the author looked into the characteristics of each period and the general features of Debussy's songs such as the texts, harmony, melody, rhythm and tempo. Then an analysis was made of 『Pantomime』, 『Le son du cor s'afflige』 and 『Colloque sentimental』, regarding their features and the circumstances under which the songs were written. Each song shows diverse structure of two part , three part , and four part form according to the text and characteristics of each particular song, The vocal lines include augmented and diminished intervals, chromatic progressions and recitative progressions, according to the poem. The harmony shows diversity by period: augmented harmony and 9th harmony were added to the scales based on whole-tone scale or mode. The tonality also shows a difference in each period: Debussy created the music of "atmosphere" and "ambiguity" by making the tonality vague. In terms of rhythm and beat, the periodical characteristics, the text, and the delicate nuances of the words were decisive factors and these aspects are most varied.;인상주의 음악의 대표적 작곡가인 Claude Debussy(1862-1918)는 프랑스의 예술가곡사의 주요한 작곡가로 평가받고 있다. 프랑스의 예술가곡은 독일의 Lied로부터 자극을 받아 시와 음악의 융합을 이루었던 Gabriel Faure´(1845-1924)에서부터 시작하여 Debussy에 와서 새로운 방향으로의 발전을 이루었다. 본 논문은 Debussy의 가곡을 여러 문헌과 악보를 동해 고찰하고 그의 60여곡의 가곡들중 시기별로 한 곡씩을 택하여 그의 음악기법을 살펴보았다. 먼저 Debussy의 가곡의 시기별 특징과 그의 가곡이 갖는 일반적인 "시"의 특징과 화성, 음계, 리듬과 박자 등을 종합하였으며 각 시기별 가곡들 중 『Pantomime』, 『Le son do cor s'afflige』 , 『Colloque sentimental』 을 선택하여 각 가곡들의 특징들에 관하여 분석하였다. 각 곡은 가사와 음악의 내용에 따라 2부, 3부, 4부의 다양한 형식구조를 보인다. 성악선율은 시의 성격에 따라 증·감 음정, 반음계적 진행, 낭송조의 진행 등이 사용되었다. 화성은 각 시기별로 변화를 보이는데 특히 온음음계와 선법에 기초한 음계위에 증화음과 9화음등을 사용한다. 조성도 시기별로 차이를 보이는데 조성을 흐림으로써 "분위기"의 음악 "모호함"의 음악을 창조했다. 리듬과 박자는 시기별 특성과 시의 내용, 말의 뉘앙스에 의해 결정되어 다양한 양상이 보인다.
