자연의 이미지를 형상화한 동적인 표현 연구

Abstract

인간은 아름다움을 추구하기 위해 끊임없는 노력을 하고 있다. 이러한 인간의 욕구에 대해 자연은 인간예술활동의 주요표현 대상으로 존재해 왔다. 인간이 존재하고 있는 자연의 내부에는 스스로 그 형상을 생성하고 소멸하는 변화의 힘이 있다. 예술가들은 그러한 자연 속에 존재하는 조화와 질서를 곧 조형적 표현의 원리로 인식하고 시대의 흐름에 따라 변화하는 조형관이나 표현방법에 따라 자연을 있는 그대로의 현실재현이 아닌, 개인의 내면세계에 의해 주관적으로 변형된 방법으로 표현하여 왔다. 본 연구는 자연을 표현하는데 있어 그 구체적인 표현대상을 강물로 설정하고 시간의 경과에 따라 생기는 강물의 흐름에서 얻어지는 이미지를 자유곡선의 반복과 색채의 점이를 통해 동적인 이미지를 표현하고자 했다. 이론적 연구 방법으로는 국내외 문헌을 중심으로 예술활동에 있어서 자연이 갖는 의미와 자연을 있는 그대로의 재현이 아닌 재창조된 표현을 하기 위해 그 이미지의 형상화에 대하여 연구하고 수많은 자연현상 가운데 연구된 본인의 작품에 사용된 흐르는 강물의 이미지를 효과적으로 표현하기 위해 동적인 표현요소에 대해 고찰했다. 작품제작에 있어서는 자유곡선의 반복과 색상의 점이적 표현에 의한 율동감의 표현으로 흐르는 강물의 동적인 이미지를 나타내고 반복적인 선의 간격 변화를 통해 화면에 긴장감을 주고자 했다. 표현방법으로는 기본적인 평직을 위주로 부분적으로 경사굵기의 변화에 의한 변화평직 수막기법, Boundweave와 모사의 사용으로 자연의 이미지와 율동감을 부합시켜 표현했다.;In his continuing guest for beauty, man has often found himself trying to capture the nature into his work. The nature has a power of change, and uses it to define her image. An artist sees some inner harmony and order in the nature’s ways, and adopts them as his own tools with which he expresses his subjective view of nature which might have been affected by the predominant trend of art of his era. The author has taken an aspect of the nature - the flow of a river - and expresses the dynamic images she sees in it by means of repetition of free curves, gradation of -shades, and the rhythm derived from therein. The author goes through both domestic and foreign materials to study the impact the nature has on artistic activities, and how artists structuralize the images derived from nature by distorting or re-shaping them. The author also considers how best to express the images of a flowing river which she has employed as the theme in the works. The author uses the repeated free-curves and the graduated shades to express the rhythmic image of a flowing river, while alternating the intervals between lines to create a tension over the screen. As for technique, the author employs the plain weave interpersed with variance in thickness of the warp thread, bound weave, soumak technique and use of wool thread to combine the image of the nature with the rhythm.
