L. v. Beethoven Cello Sonata Op.102 No.2 및 N. Paganini Variations on One String on a Theme by Rossini에 대한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업 연주회에서 연주했던 작품들 중에서 Ludwig van Beethoven Cello Sonata Op.102 No.2와 Niccolo、 Paganini Variations on One String on a Theme by Rossini 2곡을 분석, 고찰한 것이다. Beethoven은 1796년부터 1815년에 걸쳐 5곡의 cello sonata를 작곡하였다. 이 5곡의 sonata 중 느린 악장을 2악장에 도입한 전형적인 형태의 3악장제의 sonata는 Op.102 No.2 한 곡뿐으로 이것을 Beethoven이 cello sonata 에서 느린 악장의 배치에 관한 여러가지 시도 끝에 하나의 새로운 형태를 찾았음을 볼 수 있다. 이 작품 전체를 통하여 대위법적인 전개 기법이 많이 나타나고 있으며 마지막 악장의 fugato는 다성음악의 최고형태인 fugue를 화성 음악의 가장 안정된 형식인 sonata의 한 악장으로 도입함으로써 두가지 양식의 조화를 이룬 효시라는 점에 의의가 있다. Paganini의 Variation은 Rossini좌 Opera <Mose、 in Eqitto>의 주제를 사용해 변주곡 형태로 작곡한 것으로 한 현만을 사용하는 특징이 있다. 도입부와 주제, 3개의 변주로 구성되어 있고 각 변주는 주제를 충실히 반영하고 있으며 마지막 변주는 6잇단음표의 섬세한 움직임으로 화려하게 끝맺고 있다.;This Thesis analyzes and studies the following works, Ludwig Van Beethoven Cello Sonata Op, 102 No.2, Niccolo｀, Paganini Variations on One String on a Theme by Rossini, which were two of the three pieces that I presented at my graduate recital. The study includes a brief description of historical background through a literature cited, and it analyzes the content and structure of each work Beethoven composed five cello sonatas between 1796 and 1815. Of these five sonatas, No.5 consists of three movements. It is the only one that Beethoven used slow movement for the second movement. This sonata is a clear manifestation of contrapuntal progression. What made Sonata No.5 so innovative among his cello sonatas was that he introduce on Allegro form in the first movement, eliminating the slow introduction, and three part form, which is in the form of slow Adagio in the second movement. The third movement, called the fugato holds its significance in terms of a harmony created by combinig the most advanced form of polyphony. It is the fugue with the most stable form of homophony. Paganini's variations, characterized by using only one string, was composed by taking the theme from Rossini's Opera <Mose｀ in Egitto>. It consists of the introduction, theme and three variations. Each variation renders the theme well and the last variation ends the piece flamboyantly.
