S. Rachmaninoff의 <Variations on a Theme by Corelli, op.42>와 A. Berg의 <Sonata, op.1>에 대한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 필자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회에서 연주된 작품들 중에서 S. Rachmaninoff의 <Variations on a Theme by Corelli, op. 42>와 A. Berg의 <Sonata, op. 1>을 연구한 것이다. S. Rachmaninoff는 러시아의 대표적인 작곡가인 동시에 뛰어난 피아노 연주자로서 러시아의 민족적 특색들과 후기 낭만음악을 적절히 조화시킨 작품을 썼다. 그의 <Variations on a Theme by Corelli, op. 42>는 피아노 독주곡으로서는 마지막 작품으로 주제와 20개의 변주, 코다로 이루어져 있다. 이 작품은 크게 세 부분으로 나뉘어지며, 서정적이고 우울한 선율, 대담한 화성, 생동감있는 리듬 등의 특징들이 각각의 변주에 잘 나타나 있다. A. Berg는 A. Scho¨nberg의 제자로서, 동료인 A. Webern과 함께 스승의 12음 기법을 완성하는데 기여했다. A. Berg는 12음기법을 채택하면서도 조성적 요소와 고전형식을 사용하였고, 서정성이 뚜렷한 작품들을 썼다. 그의 유일한 독주곡인 <sonata, op. 1>은 단일 악장의 곡으로서 대위법적 요소와 서정성, 4도의 퇴적에 의한 화음과 증·감화음, 반음계적 성부 진행, 해결음을 수반하지 않은 비화성음 등의 기법이 조화를 이루고 있다.;This study is the analysis on <Variations on a Theme by Corelli, op. 42> of S. Rachmaninoff and <Sonata, op. 1> of A. Berg, which had been performed in the graduation recital for the completion of the master's course of Writer. S. Rachmaninoff is a representative Russian composer and an excellent pianist. works are in harmony Russian national characteristics with late romanticism. <Variations on a Theme by Corelli, op. 42>, which is his last work for piano solo, consists of three parts, such as theme, twenty variations and coda. Each variation has lyric and melancholy melody, adventurous harmony and vital rhythm. A. Berg, a student of A. Scho¨nberg and A. Webern, his colleague contributed to the completion of twelve-tone technic of his teacher. His works have twelve-tone technic, tonal elements and classical form as well. We also got a lyrical feeling from his works. <Sonata, op. 1>, his only a solo, has single movement. It has a wonderful hammy of various technics such as contrapuntal elements, lyrical feeling, chords from fourth degree accumulation, augmented and diminished triad chords, chromatic progression and non- harmonic tone without resolution.
