아내폭력에 관한 여성주의 목회상담의 프로그램 모색

Abstract

This thesis' intention is theoretical inquiry of pastoral counseling for women who are suffering violence by their husbands. In this thesis, I regard wife violence as the typical means that man is willing to disparage and suppress women in patriarchal system and I would criticize it. In addition, I have tried to create a new program on wife violence for pastoral counseling for women through such critical works against patriarchal system. In Chapter 1, this thesis’ intention and methods of study are introduced and in Chapter 2, women in patriarchal system are handled in points of views of psychology, society-culture and feminist theology and in Chapter 3, it is examined how clinical programs for women suffering violence by their husbands are applied now and what the limit is and in Chapter 4, I would prepare an alternative program of pastoral counseling for women who are suffering violence in a new viewpoint. To accomplish what this thesis want to assert faithfully, the roll of pastors and church community are very important above all things. However, today's most of pastoral counselors have not treated such women problem directly or just have chosen the way that they console the injured under the words of ‘suffering’, ‘compassion’, ‘patience’ and ‘forgiveness’ or have been confused because they do not know how to handle domestic violence. They would even look on with folded arms and would not like to intervene in the problems directly. Also they would conclude that such women problems under violence by husbands should be settled women themselves. These things are from Christianity that has descended in base of male-centric patriarchal theology and today’s Christianity has not treated women’s problems and do not know what cures are. In these points, pastoral counseling for women need urgently. Feminist perspective of pastoral counseling needs to understand and criticize solid patriarchal system in our traditional society and church and needs for women who are suppressed and isolated in church. However, my suggestions for feminist perspective of pastoral counseling in this thesis are not only for pastors’ new roles but also change of understanding from husbands as harmer and wives as the injured. Also faithful assistance of church community needs. Pastors and church community should play important roles as a first aid that recognize seriousness of wife violence above all in preventive view and help lay believers with problems. In addition, active cure and violence precaution education for husbands as harmer, not only limited in women, should be fulfilled and relevant organizations should be connected for the help. For pastors and church community to do well-laid concrete pastoral cares that can be applied for real life and also do not lose Christianity identification, using family counseling programs operated in society, they should make efforts constantly. When these efforts practice, church will become a healing place sharing women’s pain.;본 논문은 아내폭력으로 인하여 고통받는 여성을 상담하기 위한 여성주의 목회상담의 이론적 고찰이다. 본 논문은 아내폭력을 가부장제 사회에서 여성을 폄하하고 억압하려는 대표적인 남성의 하나의 수단이라 보고 이를 비판하고자 한다. 그리고 이러한 비판적 작업을 통하여 아내폭력에 관한 새로운 여성주의 목회상담의 프로그램을 고안하려 한다. 따라서 본 논문은 가부장제에 관한 비판적 작업을 통하여 아내폭력에 관한 여성주의적 목회상담 프로그램이라는 새로운 창조적 작업을 이루고자 한다. 본 논문에서 이루어지는 비판적 작업은 두 가지 측면에서 다루어진다. 즉, 이론적 비판과 실제적 비판 작업이다. 이론적 비판은 아내폭력과 관련한 다양한 학문들의 이론적 정립을 통한 이해와 비판 작업이며, 실제적 비판 작업은 한국의 아내폭력 상담 프로그램에 관한 이해와 평가 작업이다. 새로운 창조적 작업 또한 두 가지 측면에서 다루어진다. 즉, 아내폭력에 적용되어지는 신학적 자원과 여성주의 목회상담의 원리를 상황에 맞도록 찾아내는 것과 기존에 없는 아내폭력 프로그램을 여성주의 목회상담의 측면에서 새롭게 고안해 보는 것이다. 이러한 비판적 작업과 창조적 작업의 수행을 위하여, 1장에서는 본 논문의 목적과 연구방법을 밝히고 2장에서는 가부장제 속에서의 여성을 심리학적, 사회문화적, 여성신학적 관점에서 살펴보고 3장에서는 한국사회에서 아내폭력을 당하는 피해여성을 위한 임상적 프로그램이 어떻게 적용되는지, 한계는 무엇인지 살펴보고 4장에서 폭력을 당하는 여성을 위한 새로운 시각에서의 여성주의적 목회상담의 프로그램의 대안을 마련해 보고자 한다. 본 논문의 목표한 바가 성실히 이루어지기 위해서는 목회자와 교회 공동체의 역할이 무엇보다 중요하다. 그러나 오늘날 대부분의 목회 상담자는 이러한 여성의 문제를 직접적으로 다루지 못하고 ‘고난’, ‘긍휼’, ‘인내’, ‘용서’ 등의 단어로 피해자를 위로해오는 방식을 택하거나 가정폭력의 문제를 어떻게 다루어야 하는지 몰라 당황해 하기도 하며, 심지어는 방관하며, 개입하려하지 않으려 한다. 또 교회 공동체 또한 폭력 당하는 여성의 문제는 여성 스스로가 해결해야 할 문제로 보고 직접적으로 개입하지 않는다. 이는 그동안의 기독교가 가부장적인 남성중심의 신학이 바탕이 되어 이루어 졌기 때문이며, 폭력의 상황 속에 있는 피해 여성의 문제를 다루는 치료방법을 알지 못하기 때문이기도 하다. 바로 이러한 점에서 여성주의 목회상담이 요청된다. 여성주의 목회상담이란 우리 사회와 교회 속에 뿌리박혀 있는 가부장제를 이해하고 비판하고, 교회 안에서 억압당하며, 소외된 여성을 위한 목회상담이다. 그러나 본 논문에서 제안하는 여성주의 목회상담은 목회자만의 역할 수행이 아니다. 본 논문의 여성주의 목회상담은 가해자 남편과 피해자 여성의 인식의 변환을 필요로 하며, 교회 공동체의 도움을 필요로 한다. 목회자와 교회 공동체는 아내폭력의 문제에 대한 심각성을 예방적 차원에서 먼저 인식하고 평신도에게 문제가 생기면 찾을 수 있는 응급처치의 역할을 담당할 수 있어야 할 것이다. 또한 여성에게만 국한되지 않는 가해자 남편에 대한 적극적 치료와 가정폭력 사전예방교육과 관련기관과의 연계함이 필요하다. 이를 위하여 이제는 사회에서 이루어지는 가정상담 프로그램에 의존하여 기독교의 정체성을 잃어버리지 않는 커리큘럼화 되고 실생활에 적용될 수 있는 구체적인 목회적 돌봄을 할 수 있도록 목회자와 교회공동체가 끊임없이 노력해야 할 것이다. 이러한 노력이 이루어질 때 교회는 여성의 고통을 함께하는 치유의 장으로서의 교회가 될 것이다.
