R. Schumann의 Carnaval, Op.9와 F. Chopin의 Fantasie, Op.49에 관한 연구

Abstract

This thesis is a study on Schumann's Carnaval. Op.9 and F.Chopin Fantasie, Op.49, selected from the writer's program for the graduation recital for the completion of a master's degree in music. Schumann, being influenced by romantic literature, attemped to join literature to music. So he programmed music from most of his piano pieces, and Schumann composed many short and poetric character pieces instead of the prevalent piano sonatas of classical music. Representative program music each type of character piece has its own program. And also, the unity and the variety is shown by introducing various transformation of music using the letter ASCH as the literary expression. Chopin is well known on piano music with a character of lyric melody, chromatic harmony, various modulations including the tertian modulation, dissonant chord, alterd chord, plagal cadence, dotted rhythm, syncopation, folk dance music of Poland, tempo rubato. Fantasie, Op.49 is in sonata form, and it includes many of Chopin's characteristic musical idioms.;본 논문은 필자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회의 곡목 중 R.Schumann Carnaval, Op.9와 F.Chopin의 Fantasie, Op.49에 대하여 연구한 것이다. Schumann은 낭만주의 문학의 영향을 받아 문학과 음악의 접목을 시도하였다. 그리하여 표제음악을 그의 피아노 작품에 도입하여 고전음악 시대에 성행한 피아노 소나타 대신 짧고 시적인 성격적 소품 (character piece)의 쟝르를 확립시켰다. Schumann의 대표적인 모음곡 Carnaval, Op.9는 성격적 소품의 현태를 띤 소품들이 각각 표제를 간지며, 또한 문학적인 발상으로 문자를 활용하여 음의 변형을 시도함으로서 다양함과 동시에 통일성이 나타나는 작품이다. 피아노의 시인으로 찬양받는 Chopin의 음악세계는 피아노 음악에 집중되어 있으며, 서정적인 선율, 반음계적 화성, 3도 관계의 전조를 통한 다양한 전조, 불협화음과 변화화음의 사용, 변격 종지, 붓점리듬, 당김음, 폴란드 민속 춤곡의 사용, 템포 루바토(Tempo rubato)등이 특징적이다. Fantasie, Op.45는 자유로운 소나타 형식을 토대로, 그 안에서 낭만적인 요소를 자유롭게 구사한 그의 음악적 특성이 잘 드러난 작품이다.
