혼성성(Hybridity)표현에 의한 주거공간 디자인연구

Abstract

개성의 강조와 다원화의 경향으로 오늘날의 주거문화는 다양한 가능성과 변화를 가지게 된다. 과거 주택 공급에 주력한 정책으로 말미암아 양적 성장은 이룩하였으나 주생활 기능의 변화와 표현욕구 등의 변화에도 불구하고 단편적인 사회적 요구에 의한 충족에 만족할 뿐 거주자의 다양한 생활양식과 가족의 변화에 따른 요구는 충족하지 못하였다. 따라서, 이러한 다양한 개인, 계층 간 라이프스타일을 분석을 매개로 하여 그에 따른 거주자의 요구와 특성을 수용하고, 기존의 주거가 가지는 한계성을 극복하기 위한 방법으로 최근 공간디자인에 보여지는 혼성성의 개념을 도입한 주거공간을 계획하고자 한다. 이러한 개념을 채택한 데에는 현대의 다양한 문화와 국제화, 정보화를 통한 다원화된 사회 속에서, 어떠한 장르나 형태, 기능 등에서 순수성을 강조하기보다는 이질적인 요소의 다양성과 복잡성이 서로 충돌을 일으키지 않고, 그 속성을 유지하면서 서로 융화되기도 하고, 때로는 충돌을 일으키는 다이내믹한 관계 속에 있는 혼성적인 성질이 현대인의 복잡하고 다양한 라이프스타일을 표현하기에 적합하다고 판단되었기 때문이다. 본 연구의 구성은 다음과 같다. 제 I장에서는 연구의 배경과 목적, 범위와 방법을 서술하였다. 제 II장에서는 라이프스타일과 주거와의 상관성, 라이프스타일 변화요인 등을 기술하고 현대사회에서의 변화된 다양한 라이프스타일을 요소별로 살펴보았다. 제 III장에서는 혼성성에 대한 개념을 기술하고, 공간디자인에서의 혼성적 표현특성을 시간적, 형태적, 공간적, 장르적, 재료 및 색채적 혼성으로 구분하여 고찰하였으며, 이러한 특징이 적용된 주거공간을 사례로 선정하여 분석하였다. 제 IV장에서는 앞에서 분석하고 조사한 내용을 토대로 라이프스타일을 반영할 수 있는 주거공간을 혼성성의 개념을 도입하여 계획하여 보았다. 제 V장에서는 새로운 주거공간 디자인 계획안에 대한 평가를 내리고 연구과정의 방법과 결과가 갖게 될 기대효과를 언급하였다. 이와 같은 연구를 통해 연구자는 다음과 같은 결론을 내릴 수 있었다. 첫째, 여러 장르에서 사용되고 표현되어져 온 혼성성이라는 개념이 우리의 공간속에서는 어떻게 표현하고 디자인될 수 있는가에 대한 방법적인 연구를 해봄으로써, 현대사회의 다양한 라이프스타일과 문화에 대응할 수 있는 요소임을 알았다. 둘째, 혼성성이라는 개념은 과거에서부터 디자인 모티브를 잡는데 사용되어져 왔고, 혼성을 표현하는 방법은 앞서 제시하였던 대로 시간적, 형태적, 공간적, 장르적, 재료 및 색채에 이르기까지 여러 가지 표현방법으로 구분하여 적용할 수 있다. 셋째, 주거공간에서 혼성성 개념의 적용을 통해 다양한 형태적 변화와 공간의 이미지변화로 거주자의 라이프스타일에 따라 창조적인 주거공간이 도출될 수 있다. 연구자는 라이프스타일에 따른 주거공간디자인의 새로운 표현방법으로 혼성성이라는 개념이 타당성을 가지고 있음을 본 연구를 통해 알 수 있었다. 여타 다른 공간들보다도 개인에게 가장 밀접한 연관을 가지고 있고, 특정한 행위가 일어나는 곳이 아니라 인간의 행태가 모두 일어날 수 있는 주거공간이라는 특성상, 기능, 이미지, 주관적 요구 등에 있어서 통합적으로 접근해야하는 어려움이 있었지만, 지금까지의 기능적인 면만을 강조한 획일화된 주거공간에서의 탈피하여 다양한 공간형태와 이미지를 도출할 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다는데 의의가 있다.;The latest trends in modern residence having the various potential and changes that emphasize on individuality and pluralism. Our residential environment had grown in the quantitative respect, which it reflects the policy that focused on increase the housing supply. However, that only satisfied the fragmentary social demand, despite of changes of life style and desire of express. In other words, the past residences were not considered by varied life styles of inhabitants and the changes in family style. For these reasons, this report presentsthe living space that considers the concept of hybridthrough the analysis of life styles for an individual and between the social classes. The hybrid living space accepts the demands and the various characteristic of residents, also oversteps the limits which are in the past living style. The reason why I choose the concept of hybrid, which does not collide with extraneous elements and assimilate to the others with keeping up the own elements rather than emphasizepurity in any genre, forms or functions, is that the concept is appropriate for representing the life style of modern people who live in varied culture, internationalization and an information-oriented society. The formation of this study is following: The chapter 1 describes the background, the purpose, the methods and scope of the study. The chapter 2 shows the relativity of life style to residence and a primary factor of changes of life style. Furthermore, consider the varied life style case by case which is changed in modern society. The chapter 3 defines the concept of Hybrid and considers the specific characters of a hybrid representation in space design by be divided in periods, forms, spaces, genres, materials and colors. Besides, analyzes the example which is applied the Hybrid concept. The chapter 4 shows the plan for living space which can be applied a life style based on the results of the study. The chapter 5 values the design plan for new living space. Also, refers the way of process of study and expected effects as a result. According to this research, I could extract such results. First, after researching the methods of how we can apply the concept of hybrid, which was used and expressed in many ways, we found out that it is the important element that can cope with various lifestyle and culture of modern society. Second, the conceptof hybrid has been used as a motifof design from the past, and the way of expressing the hybrid is as I mentioned before, from time, form, space, genre, material and to color, many modes of expression can be applied. Third, We can draw creative residential space depend on the resident’s life style by applying the concept of hybrid in living space, various changes of form and image of space. According to this research, I could find out the new way of expression that depends on the resident’s life style, the concept of hybrid carries validity. Residential space is the most intimate space than any other spaces. Therefore this thesis acquired significant for present the possibility of not onlyfunctional aspect, but also various form and the image of living spaces.
