라흐마니노프의「회화적 연습곡(Etudes-Tableaux), Op.39」에 관한 연구

Abstract

라흐마니노프(Sergei Vassilievich Rachmaninoff 1873-1943)는 20세기 초반 급속하게 변하는 근대음악의 성향과는 대조적으로, 낭만주의 음악양식을 고수한 러시아의 작곡가이다. 라흐마니노프의 피아노 음악은 풍부한 선율과 러시아 국민적 색채로써 특유의 음악성이 구축되어 있다. 라흐마니노프의 독특한 음악양식은 그가 공부한 모스크바 음악원의 계통을 이은 것이며, 특히 차이코프스키로 이어지는 러시아 피아노 음악의 계보에 속한다고 볼 수 있다. 그의 피아노 곡은 20세기 낭만주의의 전형적인 작품이다. 본 논문에서는 라흐마니노프의 「회화적 연습곡(Etudes-Tableaux), Op. 39」를 분석 고찰하였다. 라흐마니노프의 「회화적 연습곡(Etudes-Tableaux), Op. 39」는 내용의 명확성과 표현의 다양성에서 연습곡의 수준을 훨씬 넘는, 거장적 피아노 기법이 주목되는 작품이다. 각 작품은 작곡배경과 특징적인 성격, 기술적인 특성을 모두 고려한 복합적인 연습과 다양한 피아노의 음색을 표현할 수 있는 이해를 요구하고 있다. 풍부한 선율과 다양한 리듬, 낭만적이면서도 실험적인 화성진행을 사용하여 라흐마니노프의 음악적 특징을 잘 보여주고 있다. 작품 39의 작곡 구성은 대부분의 곡이 3부 형식으로 되어 있으며, 제 9번을 제외한 8곡이 모두 단조이다 또한 반복의 패시지가 전 곡에 걸쳐 지배적으로 나타나는데, 이는 라흐마니노프의 작품 전체에 자주 등장하는 Dies-Irae와 밀접한 관련을 두고 있다. 라흐마니노프의 「회화적 연습곡(Etudes-Tableaux), Op. 39」는 기교 발전의 연습과 동시에 독주를 위한 레퍼토리로서 많은 연주자들에게 있어 매력적인 작품으로 평가받는 중요한 작품이다.;Sergei Vassilyevich Rachmaninoff(l873-194.3) is a Russian composer who was widely respected a s one of the greatest conductors and concert pianists. Rachmaninoff's style of composition grew out of the Romantic period of the late-nineteenth century, in the tradition begun by Chopin and Liszt. He wrote music that was thoroughly Russian as Tchaikovsky who had been Rachmaninoff's own teacher and mentor. The Purpose of this thesis is to study Rachmaninoff's life and his music, and to approach closer to 「Etudes-Tableaux, Op.39」. The Etudes-tableaux, published a s Opus 39, was written through 1916 and 1917, and reveals very complex demands on the performer. This set, as a whole, explores fully the pianist's and the instrument's capability. In these nine studies, there is a wide diversity of mood, from the quiet lyricism to the aura of tragedy. The title Etudes-tableaux suggests, some pictorial or extra-musical inspiration. Only the last one of the nine Etudes is in major key. Most of this work was related to the Roman Catholic Dies Irae. 「etudes-Tableaux, Op.39」 is considered as a great work as a solo repertoire, as well as a piece for development of advanced techniques.
