dc.description.abstract뱀딸기, 사매, Duchesnea indica (Andr.) Focke (Rosaceae)는 多年生 植物로서 漢方에서는 淸熱, 解毒, 消炎, 止血, 抗腫瘤, 外科瘡瘍, 通月經作用藥으로 사용되었다. 사매를 MeOH로 수회 추출한 다음, hexane, CHCl_(3) BuOH순으로 分劃하여 그중 BuOH 分劃을, silicagel column chormatography하여 tannin계 페놀성 물질인 compound Ⅰ을 分離, 그 구조를 추정하였다. 이어 compound Ⅰ의 抗菌實驗을 實施한 결과, Shigella dysentriae, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa 3菌에 대하여 각각 생육억제작용을 나타내었다.;The whole plant of Duchesnea indica (Andr. ) Focke (Rosaceae) has been used as folk medicine in treating amenorrhea, inflammation, fever and traumatic injuries, in detoxification and breaking up clots. To isolate of phenolic compound which has antimicrobial activities, DI was fractionated by hexane, CHCl_(3) and BuOH after extracting with MeOH. Compound I which was later identified as tannin, was isolated from the BuOH ext., when subjected to column chromatography on silicagel using MeOH-CHCl_(3) (gradient elution). It has shown antimicrobial activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella dysentriae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and their respective MIC values were 12.5 < MIC &#8806; 15.0 mg/ml, 7.5 < MIC &#8806; 10.0 mg/ml and 12.5 <MIC &#8806; 15.0 mg/ml.-
