이화여자대학교 도서관의 여성학 분야 장서평가

Abstract

본 연구는 여성학 분야 장서의 효율적인 장서개발을 위하여 이화여자대학교 도서관을 리스트체킹법으로 평가하였다. 평가에 앞서 여성학의 성격 및 여성학 자료실의 현황을 밝혔다. 평가 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 소장율은 평가용 리스트 3 (77.29 %), 평가용 리스트 2 (76.03%), 평가용 리스트 1 (73.46%) 순으로 나타난다. 둘째, 형태별 소장율은 정기간행물, 단행본, 기타형태 자료 순으로 나타났다. 특히 보고서류가 가장 저조하다. 셋째, 양서의 소장율이 동서의 소장율보다 높다. 넷째, 출판시기별로 보면 80년대이후에 출판된 자료의 소장율이 가장 높고, 다음이 70년대에 출판된 자료이고, 60년대이전에 출판된 자료의 소장율은 현저하게 낮다. 장서평가는 효과적인 장서개발을 위해 수정되는 것이므로 본 평가의 결과는 반드시 새로운 장서구성계획의 기초로 사용되어야 할 것이다.;This study aims at providing the basis for effective collection development for women's study through collection evaluation in The Library of Ewha Women's University. Aa research method , list checking technique is used employing the three checking list prepared for this study. As the result of evaluation, the following were found 1. The holding rates of three checking lists are : Checking lise 1 - 73.46%, checking list 2 - 76.03%, checking list - 77.03%. 2. The holding rates of monographs are lower than those of periodicals. 3. The holding rates of occidental literature are Lower than those of oriental literature. 4. The holding rates of publications produced since 1980 are the highest and those of 1970's were higher than those of before 1970. Since the main purpose of this study lies in measuring the of quality of the collections, only the degree of holdings of the required materials are focused. Besides the degree of holding, further studies are recommended in such areas as practical use of collection and effective management of whole library.
