Abstract
This study is designed to show the influences of Adolescence' Stress on Internet Addiction and the moderating roles of Parent-Adolescent Communication, Parental Support, Parental Monitoring. The analysis methods for the purpose of this study are frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson' correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression. And this was practiced by survey with students of 3 high school student in An-Yang. The findings about this study are following. The finding show that adolescence' stress, parental-adolescent communication, parental support, parental monitoring, and control variables gender, grade, school record, school satisfaction level have significant relationships. Between Internet addiction and school satisfaction level, parental support, parental monitoring has a negative correlation. However, adolescence' stress and, closed communication have a positive correlation with the Internet addiction. The hierarchical regression for verifying about moderation effect of parental variables Result in moderating roll of parent-adolescence closed communication and parental monitoring. If parent-adolescence relation is continued, the Internet addiction affected adolescence' stress is protected. These finding is consistent with Wills & Shiffman's 'Stress Weakness Model which is theory about Adolescence Addiction and drinking, drug. Following this theory, stress have a direct effect on Adolescence delinquency, on the other hand, affect through expectancy and social support. If that apply to this study, adolescence stresses have an effect on Internet Addiction through closed parental-adolescence communication and parental monitoring. The finding has the following practical implications on social work. First, the results of surveys revealed that adolescence' stress has significant influences on the Internet Addiction. Thus intervention measures are needed for a decrease in life-stress. Because the stress is an important factor of the Internet Addiction, social worker with adolescents need to assess how much degrees of stress they have and make intervention plans or strategies. Second, 'closed parent-adolescent communication' sensed by adolescent in the process of stress have an negative impact on the Internet Addiction. However, 'opened parent-adolescent communication' has not significant relation with the Internet Addiction.; Although an adolescence recognize high level of stress, an adolescence recognizing low level of ' closed parent-adolescent communication' will be able to be protected from Internet Addiction. Third, parental monitoring influenced negatively in the delinquency. In the adolescence period, adolescents want to detach themselves from their parents, but they are apt to be exposed to crisis and dangerous surrounding without parental care or protectors. The parental monitoring should not be used to control and keep watching their children and parents who have children under adolescence should understand the adolescence' developmental stage. It is necessary that social worker help parent to have active and positive concerns about and adjustment of their children in adolescence. Fourth, in the process of affecting the Internet addiction in the adolescence, it is indicated that the school satisfaction level is the important factor. To understand the school satisfaction level of the adolescence, we need to consider parental factors, peers and teachers who are consist of the School System.;본 연구는 청소년기 스트레스가 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향력과 스트레스와 인터넷 중독의 관계에서 부모-자녀 의사소통, 부모지지, 부모 감독과 같은 부모관련 요인들의 조절효과를 알아보기 위하여 실시되었다 연구의 결과를 종합해 보면, 인터넷 중독에는 스트레스와 폐쇄적 의사소통, 정보적지지, 그리고 부모감독이 유의미한 변수였으며, 통제변수 중에서는 학교생활 만족도가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 청소년기가 부모로부터 독립하여 또래집단과의 관계가 형성되는 학교의 중요도가 커지는 시기이기에 학교생활만족도는 부적(-)인 영향을 미치는 변수로 나타났다. 또한, 이 학교생활만족도를 기준으로 인터넷 중독 수준을 비교한 결과에서도 각 집단별로 유의미한 차이를 나타내고 있었다. 독립 변수 유의미한 관계로 나타난 스트레스는 정적(+)인 관계, 폐쇄적 의사소통은 정적(+)인 관계, 부모지지의 하위요인인 정보적 지지는 부적(-)인 관계, 마지막으로 부모감독은 부적(-)인 관계로 나타났다. 그리고 본 연구의 목적인 부모 관련 요인(부모-자녀 간 의사소통, 부모지지, 부모감독)들의 조절효과를 검증한 위계적 회귀분석의 결과, 부모-자녀 간 의사소통의 하위요인인 ‘역기능적 의사소통’과 ‘부모감독’이 조절효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 청소년기에 스트레스(가족, 친구, 학업, 교사)에 대한 적절한 개입이 청소년들의 인터넷 중독을 예방하기 위해서 필요하다. 청소년기의 다양한 스트레스 원이 영향을 미치더라도 긍정적인 부모-자녀간의 관계가 유지된다면 이는 청소년이 인터넷 중독으로 빠지는 문제를 충분히 조절할 수 있음을 보여준다.
