<동남(東南)토리에 의한 아쟁 4중주> 분석적 고찰

Abstract

본 연구는 2003년 12월 작곡자 박위철에 의해 만들어진 「동남토리에 의한 아쟁4중주」의 곡 분석에 대한 연구이다. 이 곡은 전통적 요소인 동부지역의 메나리토리와 남부지역의 육자배기토리의 특징을 살린 아쟁을 위한 창작곡으로 작곡자는 인생의 고달픔과 머나먼 인생행로의 어려움을 표현하고자 하였다. 10현으로 된 소아쟁 2대와 대아쟁 2대로 구성된 이 작품은 4대의 아쟁이 순차적으로 진행을 시작하여 주선율을 서로 주고받거나 독주 및 이중주로 연주한다. 이 곡은 크게 두 악장으로 구성되어 있는데, 제1악장은 서주 - 제시부[A] - 중간부[B] - 재현부[A]′로 나누어지는 겹 세도막 형식이다. 제2악장은 전주 - 전개부 - 연결구 - 코다로 나누어지는 전개적 성격의 악장이다. 이 곡의 작품 분석에 앞서 작품의 근간이 된 동부지역의 메나리토리와 남부지역의 육자배기토리의 지역적 분포 및 선율의 특징을 살펴보았다. 이 곡에서는 동부메나리토리의 선율 형태가 제1악장의 서주와 중간부[B]그리고 제2악장의 전개부에서 나타났다. 육자배기토리의 선율적 특징은 주로 소아쟁에서 나타나는데, 제1악장 서주와 제시부[A], 재현부[A]'에서 찾아볼 수 있다. 이 곡에는 제1악장의 서주부분을 반복하고 확대함으로써 제1악장과 제2악장의 조성과 빠르기 그리고 리듬을 통일해주는 역할을 하는 코다나, 6/8박 계통의 리듬을 3/4박 형태로 분박하여 긴장과 이완을 표현하는 헤미올라 리듬 등 다양한 서양음악의 특징이 있다. 이처럼 이 곡은 전통적 선율인 동부 메나리토리와 남부 육자배기토리를 동남토리라는 독특한 용어를 사용하여 그 특징들을 서양음악의 작곡 기법 안에서 다양한 리듬 변화와 독특한 주법으로 아쟁만의 고유한 음색을 잘 표현하고 있다.;In this thesis, <Dongnamtori Ajaeng Quartet> that Park Weecheol composed in December, 2003, is analyzed. This song contains characteristics of both traditional eastern Menaritori and southern Yookjabaegitori. The composer expressed the hardship of life. Two of each So Ajaeng and Dae Ajaeng are used to perform this song, where these four Ajaeng successively play main melody in the format of solo and duet. The unique tone color and rendition of So Ajaeng and Dae Ajaeng are well expressed in this song. The areal distribution and melody characteristics of eastern Menaritori and southern Yookjabaegitori are studied. In introduction and middle section (B) of the first movement and the development section of the second movement, the melody form (g-bb-c-eb) the eastern Menaritori is used. In exposition (A) and reproduction (A'), the performance form of Yookjabaegitori (deep vibration g, plain c, break eb ~d) is used. In addition to the formal and performance characteristics of the traditional music, this song has the characteristics of Western Music. For unification of composition and speed between the first and second movements, this song has Hemiola rhythm, where tension and relaxation are expressed by dividing Coda 6/8 beat rhythm into two 3/4 beat forms. In this song, the traditional melody of eastern Menaritori and southern Yookjabaegi is well mixed under the terminology of Dongnamtori and within composition techniques of the Western Music. This song well expressed Ajaeng's original tone color by using various rhythm forms and unique style of rendition.
