Dmitri Shostakovich의 Cello Sonata Op. 40 d minor에 관한 연구

Abstract

The results of the research based on the Cello Sonata Op.40 d minor of D. Shostakovich is of as follows. This Sonata was composed in 1934 and consists of 4 movements. It has modern musical elements although the musical structure is based on that of the 19th century. Two distinctive themes develop in the 1st movement as the piece advances, which in the repeating part of the sequence only one of which unfolds, making the piece short and concise. The 2nd movement consists of 3 compositions, the 3rd movement with 3 sectional compositions and the 4th follows the rondo composition, all of which can be seen as following the traditional form of structure. The piece has a seemingly simple feel to it for it uses the exact same musical structure of the 19th century. The melody advances throughout the piece using the traditional 3 and 7 chords while utilizing such subject material as the Arpeggio comparatively regular phrasing. Also the piece progresses in the pitch of another tone other than that of the contrapuntal scale, using instead chromatic scale, changing chords and unrelative key. Glissando, Pizzicato and Harmonics are evident in the cello section of the piece. Parts that require melodic attention such as chromatic motion skipping also can be heard in the piece. The Cello Sonata Op.40 d minor which was composed by D. Shostakovich , can be seen as the prime example of a piece which incorporated modern musical elements based on the structure of the 19th century.;본 논문은 본인의 석사 학위 취득을 위한 졸업 연주회에서 연주하였던 작품 중에서 D. Shostakovich Cello Sonata Op.40 d minor을 연구 분석한 것이다. D. Shostakovich는 구 소련 체제에서 교육을 받고 소련에서 활동했다. 사회주의 리얼리즘에 기초한 그의 작품들은 무조음악을 포함한 서구의 실험적인 음악과 그 방향을 달리하고 있다. 쇼스타코비치의 Cello Sonata Op.40 d minor은 1934년 8~9월에 작곡된 4악장의 전형적인 소나타로 고전적인 경향과 현대적인 음악형식이 대조를 이루던 당시 음악적 상황에서 그 두 가지를 고루 수용, 절충하고자 했던 쇼스타코비치의 노력이 나타난 작품이라 할 수 있다. 제 1악장은 종결부를 가진 소나타 형식, 제 2악장은 왈츠와 유사한 복합 3분 형식으로 종결부를 수반하며 제 3악장은 3부 형식, 제 4악장은 론도 형식으로 작곡되었다. 각 악장에 나타나는 주제는 다양하게 변화하고 반복되는데, 순차·도약 진행이 혼합된 선율윤곽과 고전적 양식을 그대로 사용한 단순한 리듬으로 구성된다. 그리고 전통적인 3화음과 7화음의 화성진행, 대위적 기법, 지속음 등의 비화성음의 사용, 반음계적 선율진행, 관계조 이외로의 전조 및 다양한 연주법 등을 통해서 고전적인 것과 현대적인 것이 잘 조화된 작품이다. 본 논문에서는 동시대적 음악적 경향과 Shostakovich의 생애 및 작품의 음악적 특징을 살펴본 후에, 형식 · 주제 · 리듬 · 화성 등에 기초하여 이곡을 분석하고자 한다.
