dc.description.abstractThe ElGamal cryptosystem is proposed by ElGamal in 1984. The RSA made by Rivest, Shamir, and Adleman is in general use, but it is known that RSA and ElGamal systems parallel in security with respect to the same key size. The efficiency of the ElGamal system depends on computation of exponentiation. Thus there are many studies that is now under way. The ElGamal cryptosystem consists of two parts, ElGamal encryption scheme and ElGamal signature scheme. In this paper, we will generate a prime number with practical size, and make encryption and decryption algorithms using that.;본 논문에서는 공개키 암호 시스템에 대한 전반적인 이해와 특징에 대해 살펴보고 공개키 시스템의 한 예인 ElGamal Cryptosystem에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. ElGamal system의 개요와 그것을 공격할 수 있는 공격법 및 안전도에 대하여 공부하고, Visual C++ 를 이용하여 실제 사용 가능한 키 사이즈를 가진 ElGamal Cryptosystem을 구현해보도록 한다.-
