Abstract

"Harmony for Flute, Oboe, Violin & Cello"(2005), composed by Kim, Ji Eun, is a serial music which is used twelve-tone technique. Twelve - tone technique which was based on composing this work, was origin ated in the early 20th century by Arnold Schoenberg. And this technique values much of each-12-tone provided by equal temperament. It can be used in forms of Prime(P), Inversion(I), Retrograde(R) and Retrograde-inversion(RI). This technique was developed from the atonal music, and it had been used in various types of contemporary music such as pointillism, aleatory music, electronic music and computer music. "Harmony" is music for Flute, Oboe, Violin and Cello. While each instrument makes its own timbre, they harmonizes each other, so that they can create new type of tones. This work is made of single movement which has 2 parts.(A-B-Coda). A and B are symmetrical concerning the connecting parts. And it shortly repeats the theme of A in the Coda. Standard Set, Combinatorial Set, and Derived Set were used in this work. It is the purpose of this thesis to find out the structural characteristics of the techniques of composition used in the 20th century by analyzing this work.;김지은의 "Harmony" for Flute, Oboe, Violin & Cello(2005)는 12음 기법으로 작곡된 음열 음악이다. 이 곡을 작곡하는데 기초가 된 12음 기법은 20세기 초 Arnold Schoenberg 에 의해 창안된 작곡방법으로 이는 평균율에 의해 제공 되어진 12개의 음을 조직적으로 동등하게 중시하며 원형(P), 전위(I), 역행(R) 또는 역행전위(RI)의 형태로 쓸 수 있다. 이 12음 기법은 무조 음악에서 발전되었으며 점묘주의, 우연성 음악, 전자음악, 컴퓨터 음악 등의 다양한 양상의 현대 음악에서도 사용되었다. 작품"Harmony"는 Flute, Oboe, Violin, Cello를 위한 곡으로 악기들은 각각이 지닌 고유한 음색을 표현함과 동시에 악기들의 상호 조합을 통해 새로운 음색을 창출한다. 이 작품은 A-B-Coda 의 2부분 단악장 형식으로, A와 B는 연결구를 중심으로 대칭을 이루며 Coda에서는 A의 주제가 짧게 재현된다. 이 작품에서 쓰인 음열은 기본 음열, 조합 관계 음열(Combinatorial Set)과 추출 음열(Derived Set)이다. 본 논문은 이 작품을 분석함으로써 음열을 통한 20세기 작곡기법의 구조적 특징을 알아보고자 하는 것이다.
