Ernest Bloch Suite For Viola & Piano에 관한 연구

Abstract

에른스트 블로흐가 활동하였던 19세기말에서 20세기에 이르는 기간은 독일 독재 정권과 파시즘 출현으로 경제적불황과 두 번의 전쟁이 났던 국제적으로 혼돈스런 시기였다. 2차 대전 때 나치의 유태인 학살은 많은 유태인 예술가들에게 민족의식을 고취시켰으며 이를 바탕으로 많은 예술작품들이 탄생하게 된다. 그중 특히 블로흐는 <유태인의 생활, From Jewish Life>, <히브리, Hebraique>등 제목에서부터 유태인의 정서를 표현했을 뿐 만 아니라 <비올라와 피아노를 위한 모음곡, Suite For Viola and Piano>에서도 현대작곡기법 안에 유태인의 선율을 사용하였다. 특히 블로흐는 이런 민족적인 정서 안에 현대음악의 특징을 잘 보여준다. 박자와 리듬 면에서 불규칙적이고 역동적인 리듬은 새로운 박자의 개념이 도입된 것이다. 그러면서도 그의 음악에는 오케스트라의 색채나 짜임새 등을 고려한 후기 낭만주의적 특징이 나타나고 있다. 이는 블로흐가 계승과 변화를 동시에 자깁만의 방식으로 확고한 주장을 민족주의 음악을 통해 표현한 것이다.;Ernest Bloch(1880. 7.24 ~ 1959. 7 .15) played an active part in musical society from 19 to 20 centuries. It was a turbulent period universally with appearance of fascism and the 1st and 2nd world war. With the large-scale holocaust by the Nazis, national consciousness was aroused, therefore many art works were created by a number of Jewish artists. Among them, Bloch not only represented jewish emotion in the title such as <from jewish life> and <hebraique>, but also imported the jewish melody in modern compositional technique in <SUITE FOR VIOLA AND PIANO>. Especially, Bloch shows us the characteristic of modern music in the racial emotion. By the introduction of new idea of rhythm, irregular and dynamic rhythm appears in his work. But on the other hand, the feat\ure of romanticism has the color and structure of orchestra is expressed. He blended in inheritance with alteration with his own way. The artist's disposition generally go with the flow, but Bloch was the composer expressed his strong will.
