오덕희의 "Fugue for String Trio"의 분석 연구

Abstract

It is the purpose of this thesis to find out how the traditional structure called 'fugue' come to be harmonious with various expressions which has modern color by analyzing "Fugue for String Trio"(composed by Dok-Hee, Ohe), one of the works performed at the concert for the master's degree. "Fugue for string trio" is kind of atonal three voiced fugue for violin, viola, violoncello. Regarding its structure, it succeeds to that of traditional fugue and it can be divided into 3 sections and 15 sub-sections. While subjects and answers develop as fixed forms in the Entry, distinctive figures or short motives presented in the exposition develop dynamically and freely in the Episode. The Subject is answered to the augmented fourth. And as augmented fourth interval is the main interval, it is used all over the work horizontally and vertically. When short motives are imitated in the Episode, minor third interval is used consistently. Besides, irregular rhythms, beats, articulations and the way of modern performances are used in this work.;본 논문은 오덕희의 석사학위 이수를 위한 졸업 연주회 작품 중 하나인 Fugue for String Trio를 분석하여 fugue라는 전통적 형식이 현대적 색채를 지닌 다양한 표현 기법들과 어떻게 조화를 이루는지 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. Fugue for String Trio는 Violin, Viola, Violoncello를 위한 무조성 3성 fugue곡으로, 형식에 있어서는 전통 fugue의 구조를 그대로 계승하고 있으며, 3개의 Section과 15개의 Sub-section으로 나뉜다. Entry부분은 주제나 응답이 고정적인 형태로 전개를 하는 데 비해 Episode부분은 제시부에서 나타나는 특징적 음형이나 단편 동기들이 역동적이며 자유롭게 전개된다. 주제는 증4도 위로 응답되며 바로 증4도 음정이 이 곡의 중심음정으로 곡 전체에 걸쳐 수평, 수직적으로 중요하게 사용된다. Episode에서 단편적 동기들이 모방될 때는 단3도 음정이 일관되게 사용되었다. 이 외에도 불규칙한 리듬, 박자, 화성, 아티큘레이션, 현대적 특수 주법 등을 사용하였다.
