초· 중· 고 여학생의 진로장벽 척도 개발 및 구인 타당도 검증

Abstract

The purpose of the present study is to develope an Career Barriers Scale for Korean female elementary school, middle school, & high school students and examine its construct validity. This study tested evidence of a seven-factor structure of career barriers for Korean female student and the invariance of the scale across school. In addition, this study examined school differences at the latent mean level. Literature review was conducted prior to research. Based on the Career Barriers Inventory-Revised(Swanson & Daniels, 1994), 47 items of seven-factor structure scale was constructed. The 47 items of preliminary scale was administerd to 729 elementary, middle, and high school female students. After item analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, 42 items(4 items of lack of self-apprehension, 11 items of lack of self-confidence, 8 items of sex-role conflict and sex discrimination, 6 items of disapproval by significant others, 4 items of uncertainty about future, 4 items of lack of career-related information, 5 items of lack of financial support) were retained for final career barriers scale. The 43-item scale was administered to 620 elementary, middle, and high school female students. In result, the seven-factor structure of career barriers scale for Korean female students was found by confirmatory factor analysis. And the internal consistency of each factor was proved to be acceptable(lack of self-apprehension: .86, lack of self-confidence: .83, sex-role conflict and sex discrimination: .73, disapproval by significant others: .67, uncertainty about future: .70, lack of career-related information: .80, lack of financial support: .78). The seven-factor structure of career barriers scale fit quite well for elementary, middle, and high school female students. Given the adequate configural, both metric and scalar invariance was tested and supported, which allowed the examination of school differences at the latent mean level. The latent mean analysis indicated that both middle school and high school students perceived career barriers to a greater extent than elementary school students.;본 연구의 목적은 초·중·고 여학생을 대상으로 하는 진로장벽 척도를 개발하고, 척도의 구인타당도 확인 및 척도 사용의 일반화 가능성을 살펴보기 위해 학교급에 따른 진로장벽 척도의 요인구조를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 문헌연구와 국내외 진로장벽 척도를 참조하여 자기이해의 부족, 자신감 부족(학업태도 및 성적문제), 성역할 갈등 및 성차별, 중요한 타인과의 갈등, 미래에 대한 불확실성, 진로 및 직업 정보의 부족, 경제적 어려움의 전체 7요인의 각 하위요인에 해당하는 문항을 제작하였다. 이렇게 구성된 예비 초·중·고 여학생의 진로장벽 척도는 초·중·고 여학생 729명을 대상으로 한 예비연구를 통해 최종 42문항이 선별되었다. 선별된 진로장벽 척도의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 초·중·고 여학생 620명을 대상으로 본검사를 실시하였으며, 본검사 자료를 토대로 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 초·중·고 여학생에서 척도의 요인구조가 동등한지를 살펴보기 위해 다집단 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 학교급간 요인구조의 동등성이 확인된 후 초·중·고 여학생 간에 진로장벽 척도의 요인별 잠재평균차이가 있는지 살펴보기 위해 잠재평균분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구가 진행된 절차에 따른 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 총 47문항으로 이루어진 예비 진로장벽 척도에 대해 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과 7요인 모형이 적합한 것으로 확인되었으며 각 요인은 자기이해의 부족, 자신감 부족(학업태도 및 성적문제), 성역할 갈등 및 성차별, 중요한 타인과의 갈등, 미래에 대한 불확실성, 진로 및 직업 정보의 부족, 경제적 어려움으로 명명하였다. 문항분석과 요인분석 결과를 토대로 총 42문항(자기이해의 부족 4문항, 자신감 부족(학업태도 및 성적문제) 11문항, 성역할 갈등 및 성차별 8문항, 중요한 타인과의 갈등 6문항, 미래에 대한 불확실성 4문항, 진로 및 직업 정보의 부족 4문항, 경제적 어려움 5문항)의 최종척도를 구성하였다. 2. 최종 척도에 대한 확인적 요인분석 결과 7요인이 가장 적합한 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 각 요인에 해당하는 문항의 요인계수도 적절한 수준을 보였으며, 하위요인 간 상관관계도 적절한 수준을 보였다. 본 척도의 하위요인별 내적 합치도(Cronbach's α)는 자기이해의 부족 .86, 자신감 부족(학업 및 성적문제) .83, 성역할 갈등 및 성차별 .73, 중요한 타인과의 갈등 .67, 미래에 대한 불확실성 .70, 진로 및 직업정보의 부족 .80, 경제적 어려움 .78로 나타났다. 3. 본 척도가 초·중·고 여학생 간에 동일한 요인구조를 갖는지 확인하기 위해 다집단 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 학교급간 구인동일성, 측정동일성이 확보되어 본 척도가 초등학교와 중학교, 고등학교 여학생에게 동일하게 사용될 수 있는 공용 척도임이 확인되었다. 또한 초·중·고 여학생에 따라 각 요인별 잠재평균의 차이가 있는지 확인하기 위해 잠재평균분석을 실시한 결과 성역할 갈등 요인에서 고등학생이 초등학생보다 낮은 평균값을 보인 것을 제외하고는 모든 요인에서 중, 고등학생이 초등학생 보다 더 높은 평균값을 보였다. 모든 요인에서 초등학교와 중, 고등학교의 학교급간 차이가 큰 것을 알 수 있다.
