Ludwig van Beethoven Cello Sonata No.3 Op. 69 에 관한 분석 연구

Abstract

Ludwig van Beethoven(1770-1827)은 빈 고전파 시대의 마지막 거장으로 고전파 시대와 낭만파 시대의 교량적 역할을 담당했던 작곡가였던 Haydn과 Mozart와 달리, 귀족에 종속된 당시의 사회적 관습에 탈피하여 고전파 음악의 양식을 계승한 동시에, 모든 규칙으로부터 벗어나는 자유로움과 독창성을 발휘했던 작곡가이다. 그는 모든 장르에 걸쳐 작품을 썼고 음악사에 커다란 공헌을 하였는데 특히 형식주의, 전통주의의 틀을 벗어나 자유로운 감정 표출과 형식에 있어서 자유로운 처리로 낭만음악에 많은 영향을 주었다. Beethoven은 Piano, Violin, Cello 등의 독주악기를 위한 소나타들을 썼는데 그 중 Cello Sonata로는 총 다섯 개의 곡을 작곡하였다. 그 중 많은 이들에게 자주 연주되어지고 사랑받는 곡 중의 하나가 Beethoven Cello Sonata No.3, Op. 69 이다. 이 곡은 그의 생애동안 가장 창작 활동이 왕성했고 그의 음악적 세계가 확고하게 다져지는 시기였던 제 2기에 속하는 작품으로써 Cello를 단지 반주 악기로만 인식했던 옛 관념에서 탈피하여 Cello와 Piano를 대등하게 다룬 대표적인 곡이다. 이곡의 특징은 전통적인 형식의 1, 3악장을 취했고, 느린 악장 대신 Scherzo 형식의 2악장 형태를 취함으로써 전통적인 형태를 고수하면서도 규칙으로부터 벗어나는 자유로움을 추구하였다. 본 논문에서는 이 곡에 사용된 Sonata형식을 파악하고 시대 배경을 고찰하여 Beethoven Cello Sonata No.3 Op. 69 의 작품에 포함되어 있는 작곡가의 음악 기법과 사상을 이해하고 작품의 분석을 통하여 실질적인 연주의 해석과 표현에 도움을 얻고자 하였다.;The Cello Sonata No.3 Op 69. is composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. The purpose of this study is to help the musical interpretation by exploring the structural form and character of Beethoven's masterpiece, Cello Sonata No.3 Op 69. Ludwig van Beethoven(1770-1827) was last composer of classical era who played a role as a bridge of classical and romantic era. He not only adhered on the rule of the classical style but also broke the tradition with the freedom and creativity as escaping from cultural convention, contrary to Haydn and Mozart who were dependent on the nobility. During his whole life, he composed through musical field of the various genres and contributed on musical history. Especially, he has effected on romantic music of free and emotional expression as getting out of traditionalism. In addition, Beethoven composed a lot of sonatas for solo instruments of Piano, Violin and Cello. Among these sonatas, Cello Sonata No.3 Op. 69 was composed at the second period of his musical life when he devoted himself to his creative musical career with remarkable energy and passion. This sonata is the one of popular and frequently played sonatas. In Cello Sonata No.3 Op. 69, several progresses were found in respect of the form and content. The Sonata form is used in the first and last movement in this work. In the second movement, the past custom of beginning by Adagio was boldly omitted and the movement of Scherzo was appeared. In addition, the role of piano which had been only an accompaniment, was broadened and widened with the melody of cello.
