북커버 디자인의 캘리그리라피(Calligraphy)표현에 관한 연구

Abstract

디지털 패러다임이라 표현할 수 있는 변화의 물결은 그 어느 시대보다도 빠르고 정확함, 그리고 다양함을 바탕으로 하여 이 시대의 절대적인 가치로서 인정받고 있다. 우리의 생활 속에서 디지털 패러다임의 영향을 받지 않은 분야는 거의 없다. 광고, 신문, TV, 인터넷 등 시각을 통한 전달분야에서 산업, 예술, 교육, 과학, 오락 등에서부터 정치에 이르기까지 거의 모든 분야에 걸쳐 광범위하게 사용되고 있으며, 디자인 프로세스에서도 뛰어난 표현의 도구이자 수단으로 활용되고 있다. 그러나 이와 같은 디지털 패러다임의 눈부신 발전 뒤에는 간과할 수 없는 또 하나의 흐름이 존재하는데, 그것은 바로 아날로그 감성이다. 아날로그 감성에 대한 관심의 증대와 더불어, 결과물에 대해서도 아날로그 감성을 표현하기 위한 구체적인 접근이 시도되고, 다양한 표현 매체들을 통한 해석이 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 디지털 시대 일반화로 인해 새로운 독창성과 차별성이 요구됨에 따라 현재와 미래로 이어지는 새로운 가치와 역할을 담당하는 비주얼디자인 중 국내 북커버 디자인을 매체로 캘리그라피(Calligraphy)를 시각표현의 대상으로 표현함으로써 새로운 시각요소로서 가능성을 검토하고 그로인한 표현 영역의 확장과 발전방안을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 이론적인 배경은 캘리그라피가 새롭게 주목받게 된 배경과 캘리그라피의 개념과 특성을 알아보고, 이를 바탕으로 캘리그라피 북커버디자인의 표현사례들을 살펴보았다. 작품 제작에 있어서는 국내 북커버 디자인의 제작을 통해 시각표현으로서 캘리그라피의 차별성을 나타내고자 하였고, 비주얼 디자인의 새로운 조형요소로서 그 가능성을 모색하였다.; The wave of the change ot will be able to express digital paradigm is quicker than which time than accurate and variety with character to be an absolute value of this time human nature it is receiving. The research which it sees is caused by the digital age general brazier and the new creativity and discrimination characteristis are demanded to follow, currently and it is joined together at future and new takes charge of a value and role the domestic bookcover design in the visual design which time in the object of expression the Calligraphy it expresses as bitterly fresh element to investigate a possibility, there is the objective of the place where it gropes an expansion of the expression territory which is caused by with him and developmental plan.
