한국교회 여성의 해방 교육을 위한 해석학적 접근

Abstract

본 논문은 여성 차별 이데올로기가 강하게 관철되는 한국 교회내에서 여성들이 남성들과 동등한 관계에서 여성의 참된 인간성을 실현하도록 돕는 여성 해방 교육의 한 방법론을 연구해 본 것이다. 신학적 가정으로는 하버드 대학에서 신약성서와 신학을 가르치는 교수이며 성서 해석자인 E.S.Fiorenza의 Feminist 비판적 성서 해석학을 기반으로 하고 교육 방법론에서는 신약학자이며 기독교 교육학자인 Walter Wink의 변증법적인 해석학적 교육 방법론을 도입하여 해석학적 접근을 시도하였다. 논문의 내용은 다음과 같다. 제Ⅰ장에서는 서론으로 논문의 목적과 내용 범위를 밝혔다. 제Ⅱ장에서는 먼저 한국 교회 여성들을 차별하는 요인들을 분석하였다. 한국 교회 여성들은 다른 일반 여성들과 마찬가지로 정치ㆍ경제ㆍ문화ㆍ교육 등 사회의 모든 측면에서 차별을 받고 있지만 특별히 한국 기독교회내의 종교적인 현상과 관련하여 살펴 보았을 때 그 첫째 요인은 그 종교성에 있어서는 무속 신앙의 구조안에 있으며, 윤리성에 있어서는 유교 전통의 보수주의적 형식주의의 테두리 안에 있는 한국 기독교의 신앙 구조이고, 둘째 요인은 기독교의 전통들로서 심지어는 기독교인의 신앙과 삶의 기준이 되는 성서까지도 여성 차별의 배경이 되고 있었다. 그래서 논자는 한국교회 여성을 위한 교육의 과제는 이러한 요인들을 극복하고 정신적으로나 육체적으로 억압받고 있는 여성들을 해방시키는 교육이어야 함을 밝히고 그의 효과적인 방법으로 해석학적 교육방법을 제시하였다. 제Ⅲ장에서는 본 논문의 목적과 과제를 수행하는데 도움을 주는 이론들을 살펴보았다. E.S.Fiorenza의 Feminist 비판적 성서 해석학은 여성의 경험을 통해 사회와 성서적 종교의 가부장적 구조와 그 억압을 인식하고 비판하며, 성서에 대해서도 새로운 이해를 한다. 이러한 피오렌자의 해석학은 아직 근본주의적 성서 해석의 틀을 벗어나지 못한 한국 교회내의 여성해방에 큰 가능성을 가지고 있었다. 성서를 신화적 원형(Mythical Archetype)으로서가 아니라 역사적 모범(Histroical Prototype)으로 이해하게 해서 성서가 여성들의 해방과 구원을 위한 다양한 자원으로 활용될 수 있게 했으며, 초기 기독교회의 역사를 재건함으로서 교회내에서 여성들이 평등한 제자직을 실현할 새로운 이상을 보여주었다. 그리고 Walter Wink의 변증법적인 해석학적 교육 방법론은 대화 방법을 사용한 3단계 해석과정을 소개해서 지금까지 한국 교회내에서 교수-학습이라는 수업을 통해 학습자들로 하여금 기독교 가치를 수용하도록 설득하는데만 주력하여 학습자들이 현재의 삶 속에서 겪는 여러 가지 갈등의 문제를 성서와 연결시켜 해결하도록 도와 주는데 미흡했던 기독교 교육에 과거로부터 전수된 신앙 내용을 현재의 삶에 연결하여 학습자들이 현재의 여러 갈등을 해결하도록 하는데 구체적인 방법과 안내를 제공해 주었다. 제Ⅳ장에서는 이러한 이론들을 토대로 한국 교회 여성교육의 과제이면서 또한 본 논문의 목적이기도 한 여성해방적인 해석학적 교육 방법을 제시하였다. 이 장 앞부분에서는 교회의 가르침을 절대적인 진리처럼 받아들이고 침묵과 순종만을 강요당한 여성들에게 해석학적 교육방법을 시행할 때 기본적으로 전제되어야 할 것들을 몇가지 제시하였는데 그 첫째는 가부장적 사회구조와 가치체계들을 여성의 관점에서 살피는 Feminist적 비판의식이고 둘째는 다함께 참여하는 대화 방법이며 셋째는 이 여성 교육을 실행할 수 있는 여성 공동체의 형성이었다. 그리고 마지막 부분에서는 특별히 Walter Wink의 변증법적인 해석학적 교육 방법론에서 통찰력을 제공받아 성서 본문을 현재 여성의 삶의 상황에 연결해서 현재여성이 겪고 있는 내적 갈등을 해결하는 3단계 해석과정을 다루었다. 마지막 장에서는 결론으로 논문 전체의 연구내용을 종합하고, 앞으로 한국 여성들의 해방을 위한 이 해석학적 교육 모델이 보다 효과적으로 상용될 수 있기 위해서 보완되어야 할 과제들을 언급하면서 끝맺었다.;This is a study for a methological approach on feministic education which helps women to realise their true identity on equal relation with men, especially in the church where the sexual discrimination are strongly accepted. In theological assumption, this is based on the feminism and critical hermenutics of E. S. Fiorenza, the hermenuticist and professor in Havard Univ. teaching New Testament and theology, for educational method, I take the dialetical hermeneutical educational methology of Walter Wink, the biblicist and christian educationalist. The contents are following. In the 1st chapter, first , I analyze the elements of feminie discrimination in the Korea church. The Korean church women are not treated fairly at all as well as other genera1 women in every social aspect such as politics, economics, culture, education. Exclusively, related with the religious appearance of Korean christician church, the first factor of discrimination is within the structure of totemic belief as for religiousness. As for ethic, it is the religious structure of Korean Christian church based upon the conservative formalism of Confucian tradition. The second factor is the Christian tradition. so I criticize that even the Bible, the oriterion of christian belief and life has worked out a ciscriminative background. These all factors are originated from the patriachrismic Bible and the fundamentalistic hermeneutics. Hence this thesis is to suggest a effective method in reading Bible at woman's view and hermeneuting with the aim of the Korean church feministic education. In 3rd chapter, I prove the useful theory for its purpose and problem. E. S . Fiorenza's feministic critical hermeneutics makes us recognize and criticize the patriachismic structure of society and biblical religion and tis suppression, and gives us a new understanding on Bible. These Fiorenza's hermeneutics has taken possibility for the feministic movement within Korean church which could not escape from the scheme of fundamentalistic hermeneutics. It paly the Bible to a various resources for women's loberation and salvation through understanding the Bible not as a mythtical archytype but as a historical portotype. Besides, it reveals a new vision that woman could carry out as an equal disciple by reconstruction of early Christian history. Walter Wink's deialectical hermeneutive education methology is informed of the 3 level-hermeneutic-process using dirlogue, so that it gives the concrete mean and guidance to Christian education which have not been helped to solve the people's present life-long eonfoicts through the Bible because Korean church has been focused on receiving Christian value by the lesson such as teaching-learning. In 4th chapter, based on these theories, I suggested the feministic ermeneutive education-method as not only a task of Korean church for women's education method also the purpose of this thesis. for being practice, there are several patricchismic ; at first, the critical consciouress to examine the patriachismic social structure and value system from the feminine viewpoint, secondly, the dialogue participated order to pratice this women education. At the last part of this chapter, I deal with the 3 level-hermeneutic process to solve the wome's inner conflict experienced thesedays through adapting the context of Bible to the life condition of women by the help of Walter Wink's insight form his dialectical hermeneutive education metholcgy. In the last chapter, as a conclusion, I synthesize the whole contents of this study, and then, mention some supplemeutary subjects in order to use more effectively this hermeneutive education model for Korean women's liberation.
