추상표현주의 회화에 나타난 표현기법을 응용한 패션 트랜스 아이템 디자인

Abstract

예술은 이해보다 감동을 요한다. 21세기는“ 감성시대”이고, 인간의 심미적․상징적․감성적․경험적 욕구가 그 시대의 문화를 결정짓는 중요한 요인이 되었다. 디자인은 곧 예술이다. 현대 사회의 소비자들은 의식주 모든 것에 예술적인 감성이 함께하는 것을 선호한다. 옷을 입고, 멋진 집에서 살고, 맛있는 음식을 먹는 것은 의식주에 나타난 디자인을 활용의 도구로 사용한 것이 아니라 하나의 개념으로 인식하고 있는 것이 최근의 경향이다. 이렇게 우리의 인식이 변화하면서 소비자들은 감성과 정신적인 가치를 중시하고 개개인의 개성이 중시되는 고품격 디자인의 시대가 된 것이다. 소비자들은 개인의 삶을 풍요롭게 하기 위하여 개성 있는 것을 원하며 소비자와 디자이너는 소통을 해야 하는 관계로서 디자이너들은 기존의 고정관념에서 벗어나 시야를 넓게 볼 수 있는 안목이 필요하다고 생각한다. 디자인 영역에서 뿐만 아니라 순수예술에서도 작가의 개인적인 예술세계의 추구를 넘어서 순수미술, 공예, 디자인 등에 이르기까지 복합적인 표현의 가능성에 대한 인식이 확대되고 있다. 이러한 경향이 섬유 패션분야에도 영향 미치고 있다고 할 수 있다. 예술은 영감의 원천이란 정의를 뛰어 넘어 비즈니스 적으로 가치 있는 새로운 의미로 인식된다. 현재 각각의 브랜드들은 아티스트와 브랜드의 콜래보레이션(Collaboration)을 결성하면서 자신들의 브랜드 부가가치를 상승시키는 효과를 보고 있다. 디자인과 순수 예술의 접목으로 인하여 디자이너의 독창적인 내면세계를 표현한, 예술성이 담긴 예술적 디자인의 대한 적극적인 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서 연구자가 추상표현주의의 회화를 디자인의 모티브로 활용하는 것은 사물이나 대상에 대한 객관적 혹은 사실적으로 재현한 표현이 아니라 주관적이고 암시적이며 추상화 시켜 본 연구자의 감정과 정신세계를 표현할 수 있기 때문이다. 그리고 추상표현주의 사조를 바탕으로 본질적인 행위에 주목하여 본 연구자의 내면세계를 시각화하여 그 중의 일부분을 디자인 모티브로 활용하여 현대인의 다양한 문화적 욕구를 충족시키고자 한다. 순수미술과 섬유 패션이 서로의 영감을 주고받으며 이 시대가 요구하는 디자인에 부응하려고 한다. 이를 위한 연구의 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 추상표현주의 사조의 특성과 표현에 대해 문헌을 통하여 연구 고찰하고 추상 표현주의 회화에서 차용한 현대 섬유 패션에 나타난 디자인 사례에 대해 분석해 본다. 둘째, 현대 패션에서 부각되는 트랜스아이템(trans item)의 대해 조사해 보고 이를 바탕으로 새로운 패션 트랜스아이템의 개념 설정 가능성을 타진해 본다. 셋째, 핸드 프린팅을 통해 다양한 표현기법(안료 날염, 모 축융, 발염날염, 발포바 인더사용)의 가능성을 연구한다. 넷째, 실제 작품 8그룹 16점을 제작하여 패션트랜스아이템의 새로운 발전 가능성 을 제안하고자한다. 이러한 연구과정을 통하여 얻은 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 디자인의 모티브를 표현하기 위하여 추상표현주의의 회화를 응용하여 패턴화 함으로써 연구자의 감성적인 디자인 이미지를 표현하기에 적합함을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 섬유의 소재에 따라 일반 프린팅과 다양한 표현기법(안료 날염, 모 축융, 발염날염, 발포바인더의 사용)을 시도함으로써 텍스타일디자인의 무한한 가능성을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 실제 완성 되어진 작품 8그룹 16점의 작품(안료날염 8점, 모 축융 3점, 발염 날염 2점, 발포바인더를 이용한 3점)을 통해 현대인들의 다양한 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 패션트랜스 아이템의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구자는 이 연구에서 추상표현주의 회화를 텍스타일 디자인에 응용함으로써 현대인의 감성을 자극하고 내면의 감성을 중요시하는 현대인의 욕구를 충족시키는 현대 텍스타일 디자인의 무한한 가능성을 알 수 있었다.;Art needs impression more than understanding. Twenty-first century, as the age of emotion, is being an essential part of current culture which is decided by man's aesthetical, symbolical, emotional, empirical desire. Design is art. Customers living in modern society prefer to combine artistic sense to all of food, clothing, and shelter. Wearing clothes, living in a nice house and eating tasty food mean that men are recognizing design which is reflected on their life as a single concept, not a tool of utilization. As cognition of design is changed like this, it becomes to the era of high qualified design where customers are more concerned about individual character, mental and emotional value. It seems that a designer should take an wide view from out of prejudice to communicate with customers who want characteristic stuffs to run their wealthy life. Not only at design field but also at pure art, perception on the possibility of complex expression affects to fine art, applied fine art and design, over an artist's personal era. And I can say that it also affects on textile fashion industry. The definition of art is recognized as a new concept with having business value, leaping over its original meaning, source of inspiration. Nowadays, respective brands are benefits from collaboration of artists and brands which makes their brand value rise. Therefore, it needs to be researched actively which expresses designer's originative inner world with mixing up design and pure art. The reason researcher uses an abstract expressionism painting as a design motive is that I can express my emotion and inner mind through subjective and intimate abstract painting, not through objective and realistic one. I would like to express my inner world by focusing on actuals which reflects the trend of an abstract expressionism printing. Then satisfying moderns' various cultural desire by using some part of them as a design motive. I try to adapt the trend of design by mixing up pure art and textile fashion's inspiration. Contents of researches are as follows for these. First, researching the character and expression of an abstract expressionism printing through records. And analyzing design examples reflected on modern fiber fashion borrowed from an abstract expressionism painting Second, researching trans items identified in modern fashion and sounding the possibility of setting a new concept of trans item in fashion based on it. Third, researching the possibility of various complex expressions like as pigment printing, fulling, discharge printing and blowing binder through hand printing. Fourth, making eight groups and sixteen pieces of real works and suggesting improvement. of fiber design and new potential prospect. Results from the research are as follows. First, I could find out that it's proper to use an abstract expressionism printing as a design motive for presenting researcher's emotional design image. Second, I could find out infinite possibilities by trying complex expression techniques (pigment printing, fulling, discharge Printing, blowing binder) according to textile material. Third, I could found out that it can satisfy moderns' various desire and create higher value through eight groups and sixteen pieces of completed actual works (pigment printing eight pieces, fulling three pieces, discharge printing two pieces, blowing binder three pieces) As a result of examining design potential which stimulates and reflects emotion so it fills up moderns' desire, I, researcher, could convince that modern textile design has infinite possibilities by applying an abstract expressionism painting to it.
